Al-Zaryat (The Scatterers)
Translation
Verses 31-60
قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ (31)
He (Ibrahim) said: Then what is your story, O messengers?
[Al Quran ; 51:31]
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ (32)
They said: Indeed, we have been sent to a criminal people.
[Al Quran ; 51:32]
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ (33)
To send upon them stones of clay.
[Al Quran ; 51:33]
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ (34)
Marked with your Lord for the extravagant.
[Al Quran ; 51:34]
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (35)
And We brought out whoever was therein of the believers.
[Al Quran ; 51:35]
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ (36)
And We did not find therein other than a house of submitters.
[Al Quran ; 51:36]
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ (37)
And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful torture.
[Al Quran ; 51:37]
وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (38)
And in Musa (is a sign), when We sent him to Firon with obvious authority.
[Al Quran ; 51:38]
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ (39)
And he turned away with his supporters and said: A magician or a madman.
[Al Quran ; 51:39]
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ (40)
So We seized him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was to be blamed.
[Al Quran ; 51:40]
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ (41)
And in Aad (is a sign), when We sent upon them the barren wind.
[Al Quran ; 51:41]
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ (42)
It left nothing of what it came upon except it made it like ruins.
[Al Quran ; 51:42]
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ (43)
And in Thamud (is a sign), when it was said to them: Enjoy yourselves for a while.
[Al Quran ; 51:43]
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ (44)
But they rebelled against the command of their Lord, so the shriek seized them while they were looking on.
[Al Quran ; 51:44]
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ (45)
So they were not able to arise, nor could they defend themselves.
[Al Quran ; 51:45]
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ (46)
And the people of Nuh before; indeed, they were a disobedient people.
[Al Quran ; 51:46]
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ (47)
And (as for) the heaven, We have built it with power; and indeed, We are expanding.
[Al Quran ; 51:47]
وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ (48)
And (as for) the earth, We have made it habitable; and excellent is the preparers.
[Al Quran ; 51:48]
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ (49)
And of everything We have created two mates; perhaps you will remember.
[Al Quran ; 51:49]
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (50)
So flee to Allah; indeed, I am to you from Him an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 51:50]
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (51)
And do not make with Allah another god; indeed, I am to you from Him an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 51:51]
كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ (52)
Likewise, there did not come to those before them a messenger except they said: A magician or a madman.
[Al Quran ; 51:52]
أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ (53)
Have they agreed with each other on that? Rather, they are tyrant people.
[Al Quran ; 51:53]
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ (54)
So turn away from them, for you are not to be blamed.
[Al Quran ; 51:54]
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (55)
And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers.
[Al Quran ; 51:55]
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ (56)
And I did not create the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me.
[Al Quran ; 51:56]
مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ (57)
I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me.
[Al Quran ; 51:57]
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ (58)
Indeed, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of strength, the Firm.
[Al Quran ; 51:58]
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ (59)
And indeed, for those who did injustice will be sins like the sins of their companions, so let them to hasten not.
[Al Quran ; 51:59]
فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ (60)
And woe to those who have disbelieved from their day which they are promised.
