Al-Zukhruf (The Ornaments)

Translation

Verses 1-30

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

---

حم (1)

Ha Meem.
[Al Quran ; 43:1]

---

وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ (2)

By the obvious book.
[Al Quran ; 43:2]

---

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ (3)

Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Quran that you might understand.
[Al Quran ; 43:3]

---

وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ (4)

And indeed, it is in the mother of the book with Us, exalted and full of wisdom.
[Al Quran ; 43:4]

---

أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنْكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَنْ كُنْتُمْ قَوْمًا مُسْرِفِينَ (5)

So should We turn the reminder away from you in disregard, because you are an extravagant people?
[Al Quran ; 43:5]

---

وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ (6)

And how many of a messenger have We sent among the former (people).
[Al Quran ; 43:6]

---

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِمْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ (7)

And there would not come to them a prophet except that they used to ridicule him.
[Al Quran ; 43:7]

---

فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ بَطْشًا وَمَضَىٰ مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ (8)

And We have destroyed stronger than them in power, and the likeness of the former (people) has preceded.
[Al Quran ; 43:8]

---

وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ (9)

And if you should ask them, Who created the heavens and the earth? They would surely say: They were created by the Mighty, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 43:9]

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ (10)

Who has made for you the earth a bed and made for you therein ways that perhaps you will be guided.
[Al Quran ; 43:10]

وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنْشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَيْتًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ (11)

And Who sends down from the sky water in measure, and We revive thereby a dead country, thus will you be brought forth.
[Al Quran ; 43:11]

وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ (12)

And Who created all the pairs and made for you of the ships and the cattle those which you ride.
[Al Quran ; 43:12]

لِتَسْتَوُوا عَلَىٰ ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ (13)

That you may settle upon their backs and remember the favour of your Lord when you are settled thereupon, and say: Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could not have (otherwise) subdued it.
[Al Quran ; 43:13]

وَإِنَّا إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا لَمُنْقَلِبُونَ (14)

And indeed, to our Lord, we will surely be returned.
[Al Quran ; 43:14]

---

وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا ۚ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُبِينٌ (15)

And they made to Him from His servants a part. Indeed, the human is clearly ungrateful.
[Al Quran ; 43:15]

أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمَّا يَخْلُقُ بَنَاتٍ وَأَصْفَاكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ (16)

Or has He taken from what He creates daughters and chosen for you sons?
[Al Quran ; 43:16]

---

وَإِذَا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُمْ بِمَا ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجْهُهُ مُسْوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظِيمٌ (17)

And when one of them is given good tidings of what he struck of an example to the Compassionate, his face becomes black while he is raging.
[Al Quran ; 43:17]

أَوَمَنْ يُنَشَّأُ فِي الْحِلْيَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْخِصَامِ غَيْرُ مُبِينٍ (18)

So is one brought up in ornaments while in contention unclear?
[Al Quran ; 43:18]

---

وَجَعَلُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ الَّذِينَ هُمْ عِبَادُ الرَّحْمَٰنِ إِنَاثًا ۚ أَشَهِدُوا خَلْقَهُمْ ۚ سَتُكْتَبُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ وَيُسْأَلُونَ (19)

And they made the angels, who are the servants of the Compassionate, females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be written down and they will be questioned.
[Al Quran ; 43:19]

---

وَقَالُوا لَوْ شَاءَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ مَا عَبَدْنَاهُمْ ۗ مَا لَهُمْ بِذَٰلِكَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ ۖ إِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ (20)

And they say: If the Compassionate had willed, we would have not worshipped them. They have no knowledge of that; indeed, they are only falsifying.
[Al Quran ; 43:20]

أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ فَهُمْ بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ (21)

Or have We given them a book before it to which they are adhering?
[Al Quran ; 43:21]

---

بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُهْتَدُونَ (22)

Rather, they say: Indeed, we found our fathers upon a course (of religion), and indeed, we are in their footsteps guided.
[Al Quran ; 43:22]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ (23)

And thus, We did not send before you in a village a warner except that its rich people said: Indeed, we found our fathers upon a course (of religion), and indeed, we are in their footsteps following.
[Al Quran ; 43:23]

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ (24)

(The warner) said: Even if I bring to you a better guide than that upon which you found your fathers? They said: Indeed, we are, in that with which you are sent, unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 43:24]

فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ (25)

So We took retribution from them; so see how was the consequence of the deniers.
[Al Quran ; 43:25]

---

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ (26)

And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people: Indeed, I am disassociated from what you worship.
[Al Quran ; 43:26]

إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ (27)

Except for Him Who originated me; and indeed, He will guide me.
[Al Quran ; 43:27]

---

وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ (28)

And he made it a word remaining among his descendants that perhaps they will return.
[Al Quran ; 43:28]

---

بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ (29)

Rather, I gave enjoyment to them and their fathers until the truth came to them and an obvious messenger.
[Al Quran ; 43:29]

وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِ كَافِرُونَ (30)

And when the truth came to them, they said: This is magic, and indeed, we are in it unbelievers.

Translation

Verses 1-30

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

---

حم (1)

Ha Meem.
[Al Quran ; 43:1]

---

وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ (2)

By the obvious book.
[Al Quran ; 43:2]

---

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ (3)

Indeed, We have made it an Arabic Quran that you might understand.

Al-Zukhruf (The Ornaments)

Translation

Verses 31-60

---

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ (31)

And they said: Why was this Quran not sent down upon a great man from the two villages?
[Al Quran ; 43:31]

أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ (32)

Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We Who have distributed among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees that some of them may take others for ridicule. And the mercy of your Lord is better than what they gather.
[Al Quran ; 43:32]

---

وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَنْ يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ (33)

And if it was not that the people would become a single nation (in disbelief), We would have surely made for those who have disbelieved in the Compassionate, for their houses a ceiling from silver and elevations upon which they appear.
[Al Quran ; 43:33]

---

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ (34)

And for their houses, doors and couches upon which they recline.
[Al Quran ; 43:34]

---

وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِنْ كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (35)

And an ornament; and all that is only an enjoyment of the life of this world, but the hereafter with your Lord will be for the pious.
[Al Quran ; 43:35]

---

وَمَنْ يَعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ (36)

And whoever lives while disregarding of the remembrance of the Compassionate, We appoint for him a devil, so he is to him a comrade.
[Al Quran ; 43:36]

---

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ (37)

And indeed, they hinder them from the way while they think that they are guided.
[Al Quran ; 43:37]

---

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ (38)

Until when he comes to Us, he says: I wish there was between me and you the distance of the two easts; and miserable is the comrade.
[Al Quran ; 43:38]

---

وَلَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ (39)

And never will it benefit you that day since you did injustice; indeed, you are in the torture, partners.
[Al Quran ; 43:39]

أَفَأَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ (40)

So, will you make the deaf hear or guide the blind and one who is in obvious misguidance?
[Al Quran ; 43:40]

---

فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ (41)

And whether (or not) We take you away; indeed, We are, from them, taking retribution.
[Al Quran ; 43:41]

---

أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ (42)

Or whether (or not) We show you that which We promised them; indeed, We are, over them, Capable.
[Al Quran ; 43:42]

فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (43)

So adhere to that which has been revealed to you; indeed, you are on a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 43:43]

---

وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ (44)

And indeed, it is a reminder for you and your people; and you are going to be questioned.
[Al Quran ; 43:44]

---

وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ (45)

And ask those whom We sent before you of Our messengers. Have We made other than the Compassionate gods to be worshipped?
[Al Quran ; 43:45]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (46)

And We have certainly sent Musa with Our signs to Firon and his chiefs, so he said: Indeed, I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 43:46]

فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا إِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ (47)

So when he came to them with Our signs, at once they laughed at them.
[Al Quran ; 43:47]

---

وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ (48)

And We did not show them a sign except it was greater than its sister; and We seized them with torture that perhaps they will return.
[Al Quran ; 43:48]

وَقَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَ السَّاحِرُ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ (49)

And they said: O magician! Call for us your Lord by the covenant which He has made with you; indeed, we will be guided.
[Al Quran ; 43:49]

فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ (50)

And when We removed from them the torture, at once they broke their word.
[Al Quran ; 43:50]

---

وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِي ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ (51)

And Firon called out among his people: O my people! Does not the kingdom of Egypt belong to me, and these rivers flow beneath me, so do you not see?
[Al Quran ; 43:51]

أَمْ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ (52)

Or am I better than this (man) who is weak and can hardly explain (himself).
[Al Quran ; 43:52]

---

فَلَوْلَا أُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ (53)

And why have there not been thrown at him a bracelet of gold or come with him the angels as comrades?
[Al Quran ; 43:53]

---

فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ (54)

So he bluffed his people, but they obeyed him; indeed, they were disobedient people.
[Al Quran ; 43:54]

فَلَمَّا آسَفُونَا انْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (55)

And when they displeased Us, We took retribution from them, so We drowned them all together.
[Al Quran ; 43:55]

---

فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلْآخِرِينَ (56)

And We made them a precedent and example to the later (people).
[Al Quran ; 43:56]

---

وَلَمَّا ضُرِبَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ مَثَلًا إِذَا قَوْمُكَ مِنْهُ يَصِدُّونَ (57)

And when the son of Mariam was struck as an example, at once your people hinder away from it.
[Al Quran ; 43:57]

---

وَقَالُوا أَآلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ (58)

And they said: Are our gods better, or is he? They did not strike it (the comparison) except for arguing. Rather, they are contending people.
[Al Quran ; 43:58]

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا عَبْدٌ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ (59)

Indeed, He was only a servant upon whom We bestowed favour, and We made him an example for the sons of Israel.
[Al Quran ; 43:59]

وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ مَلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ (60)

And if We will, We could have made from you angels who would be in the land successors.
[Al Quran ; 43:60]

Al-Zukhruf (The Ornaments)

Translation

Verses 31-60

---

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ (31)

And they said: Why was this Quran not sent down upon a great man from the two villages?
[Al Quran ; 43:31]

أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ (32)

Do they distribute the mercy of your Lord? It is We Who have distributed among them their livelihood in the life of this world and have raised some of them above others in degrees that some of them may take others for ridicule. And the mercy of your Lord is better than what they gather.
[Al Quran ; 43:32]

وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَنْ يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ (33)

And if it was not that the people would become a single nation (in disbelief), We would have surely made for those who have disbelieved in the Compassionate, for their houses a ceiling from silver and elevations upon which they appear.
[Al Quran ; 43:33]

وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ (34)

And for their houses, doors and couches upon which they recline.
[Al Quran ; 43:34]

---

وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِنْ كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (35)

And an ornament; and all that is only an enjoyment of the life of this world, but the hereafter with your Lord will be for the pious.
[Al Quran ; 43:35]

وَمَنْ يَعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ (36)

And whoever lives while disregarding of the remembrance of the Compassionate, We appoint for him a devil, so he is to him a comrade.
[Al Quran ; 43:36]

---

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ (37)

And indeed, they hinder them from the way while they think that they are guided.
[Al Quran ; 43:37]

---

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ (38)

Until when he comes to Us, he says: I wish there was between me and you the distance of the two easts; and miserable is the comrade.
[Al Quran ; 43:38]

---

وَلَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ (39)

And never will it benefit you that day since you did injustice; indeed, you are in the torture, partners.
[Al Quran ; 43:39]

---

أَفَأَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ (40)

So, will you make the deaf hear or guide the blind and one who is in obvious misguidance?
[Al Quran ; 43:40]

---

فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ (41)

And whether (or not) We take you away; indeed, We are, from them, taking retribution.
[Al Quran ; 43:41]

---

أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ (42)

Or whether (or not) We show you that which We promised them; indeed, We are, over them, Capable.
[Al Quran ; 43:42]

فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (43)

---

وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَاتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (61)

And indeed, he (Isa) is knowledge of the hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow me. This is a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 43:61]

وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ (62)

And let not the devil hinder you; indeed, he is to you an obvious enemy.
[Al Quran ; 43:62]

---

وَلَمَّا جَاءَ عِيسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (63)

And when Isa came with clear proofs, he said: I have certainly come to you with wisdom and to explain to you some of that about which you disagreed; so fear Allah and obey me.
[Al Quran ; 43:63]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (64)

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 43:64]

فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ (65)

And the parties disagreed among themselves, so woe to those who did injustice from the torture of a painful day.
[Al Quran ; 43:65]

هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (66)

Do they wait except for the hour to come upon them suddenly while they do not perceive?
[Al Quran ; 43:66]

---

الْأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ (67)

Close friends on that day will be enemies to each other, except for the pious.
[Al Quran ; 43:67]

---

يَا عِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ (68)

O My servants! No fear upon you this day, nor will you grieve.
[Al Quran ; 43:68]

---

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ (69)

Those who have believed in Our signs and were submissive (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 43:69]

---

ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ (70)

Enter the garden, you and your spouses, delighted.
[Al Quran ; 43:70]

---

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِصِحَافٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنْتُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (71)

Circulated among them will be plates from gold, and cups; and therein will be whatever the souls desire to have and whatever the eyes enjoy to see. And you will be therein abiding.
[Al Quran ; 43:71]

---

وَتِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (72)

And that is the garden which you are made to inherit for what you used to do.
[Al Quran ; 43:72]

---

لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (73)

For you therein are many fruits from which you will eat.
[Al Quran ; 43:73]

---

إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ (74)

Indeed, the criminals will be, in the torture of hell, abiding.
[Al Quran ; 43:74]

---

لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ (75)

It will not be subsided from them, and they will be therein, despairing.
[Al Quran ; 43:75]

---

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الظَّالِمِينَ (76)

And We did not do injustice to them, but they were themselves the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 43:76]

---

وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ (77)

And they will call: O Malik! Let your Lord put an end to us. He will say: Indeed, you will be remaining.
[Al Quran ; 43:77]

---

لَقَدْ جِئْنَاكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ (78)

We have certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were, to the truth, hating.
[Al Quran ; 43:78]

---

أَمْ أَبْرَمُوا أَمْرًا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ (79)

Or have they devised an affair? Then indeed, We are devising.
[Al Quran ; 43:79]

---

أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ (80)

Or do they think that We do not hear their secret and their private conversation? Yes (We do), and Our messengers are with them writing (their deeds).
[Al Quran ; 43:80]

---

قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْعَابِدِينَ (81)

Say: If there was to the Compassionate a child, then I will be the first of the worshippers.
[Al Quran ; 43:81]

---

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (82)

Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the throne, from what they describe.
[Al Quran ; 43:82]

فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ (83)

So leave them talking vanity and playing until they meet their day which they are promised.
[Al Quran ; 43:83]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ إِلَٰهٌ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ (84)

And it is He (Allah) Who is God in the heavens and God in the earth; and He is the Wise, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 43:84]

وَتَبَارَكَ الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ (85)

And blessings from the One to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them and with Him is the knowledge of the hour and to Him you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 43:85]

وَلَا يَمْلِكُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنْ شَهِدَ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ (86)

And those upon whom they call other than Him do not possess intercession, except one who testifies to the truth while they know.
[Al Quran ; 43:86]

وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ (87)

And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say: Allah. So how are they deluded?
[Al Quran ; 43:87]

وَقِيلِهِ يَا رَبِّ إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ قَوْمٌ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (88)

And his saying: O my Lord! Indeed, these are people who do not believe.
[Al Quran ; 43:88]

---

فَاصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَامٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ (89)

So turn aside from them and say: Peace. And they are going to know.
[Al Quran ; 43:89]

Al-Zukhruf (The Ornaments)

Translation

Verses 61-89

---

وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا وَاتَّبِعُونِ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (61)

And indeed, he (Isa) is knowledge of the hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow me. This is a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 43:61]

---

وَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُبِينٌ (62)

And let not the devil hinder you; indeed, he is to you an obvious enemy.
[Al Quran ; 43:62]

---

وَلَمَّا جَاءَ عِيسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ قَالَ قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ بَعْضَ الَّذِي تَخْتَلِفُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ (63)

And when Isa came with clear proofs, he said: I have certainly come to you with wisdom and to explain to you some of that about which you disagreed; so fear Allah and obey me.
[Al Quran ; 43:63]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (64)

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. This is a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 43:64]

فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِنْ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ (65)

And the parties disagreed among themselves, so woe to those who did injustice from the torture of a painful day.
[Al Quran ; 43:65]

هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا السَّاعَةَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (66)

Do they wait except for the hour to come upon them suddenly while they do not perceive?
[Al Quran ; 43:66]

الْأَخِلَّاءُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا الْمُتَّقِينَ (67)

Close friends on that day will be enemies to each other, except for the pious.
[Al Quran ; 43:67]

---

يَا عِبَادِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْكُمُ الْيَوْمَ وَلَا أَنْتُمْ تَحْزَنُونَ (68)

O My servants! No fear upon you this day, nor will you grieve.
[Al Quran ; 43:68]

---

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَكَانُوا مُسْلِمِينَ (69)

Those who have believed in Our signs and were submissive (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 43:69]

---

ادْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ أَنْتُمْ وَأَزْوَاجُكُمْ تُحْبَرُونَ (70)

Enter the garden, you and your spouses, delighted.
[Al Quran ; 43:70]

---

يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِصِحَافٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنْتُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (71)

Circulated among them will be plates from gold, and cups; and therein will be whatever the souls desire to have and whatever the eyes enjoy to see. And you will be therein abiding.
[Al Quran ; 43:71]

---

وَتِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي أُورِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (72)

And that is the garden which you are made to inherit for what you used to do.
[Al Quran ; 43:72]

---

لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ كَثِيرَةٌ مِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (73)

For you therein are many fruits from which you will eat.
[Al Quran ; 43:73]

---

إِنَّ الْمُجْرِمِينَ فِي عَذَابِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ (74)

Indeed, the criminals will be, in the torture of hell, abiding.
[Al Quran ; 43:74]

---

لَا يُفَتَّرُ عَنْهُمْ وَهُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ (75)

It will not be subsided from them, and they will be therein, despairing.
[Al Quran ; 43:75]

---

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَاهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا هُمُ الظَّالِمِينَ (76)

And We did not do injustice to them, but they were themselves the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 43:76]

---

وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ ۖ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ (77)

And they will call: O Malik! Let your Lord put an end to us. He will say: Indeed, you will be remaining.
[Al Quran ; 43:77]

---

لَقَدْ جِئْنَاكُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَكُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ (78)

We have certainly brought you the truth, but most of you were, to the truth, hating.
[Al Quran ; 43:78]

---

أَمْ أَبْرَمُوا أَمْرًا فَإِنَّا مُبْرِمُونَ (79)

Or have they devised an affair? Then indeed, We are devising.
[Al Quran ; 43:79]

---

أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَاهُمْ ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ (80)

Or do they think that We do not hear their secret and their private conversation? Yes (We do), and Our messengers are with them writing (their deeds).
[Al Quran ; 43:80]

قُلْ إِنْ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْعَابِدِينَ (81)

Say: If there was to the Compassionate a child, then I will be the first of the worshippers.
[Al Quran ; 43:81]

---

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ رَبِّ الْعَرْشِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (82)

Glory be to the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the throne, from what they describe.
[Al Quran ; 43:82]

---

فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّىٰ يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ (83)

So leave them talking vanity and playing until they meet their day which they are promised.
[Al Quran ; 43:83]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي فِي السَّمَاءِ إِلَٰهٌ وَفِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ (84)

And it is He (Allah) Who is God in the heavens and God in the earth; and He is the Wise, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 43:84]

وَتَبَارَكَ الَّذِي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِنْدَهُ عِلْمُ السَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ (85)

And blessings from the One to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them and with Him is the knowledge of the hour and to Him you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 43:85]

وَلَا يَمْلِكُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلَّا مَنْ شَهِدَ بِالْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ (86)
