Sad (Sad)

Translation

Verses 1-20

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

Sad; by the Quran containing the reminder.
[Al Quran ; 38:1]

Rather those who have disbelieved in pride and dissention.
[Al Quran ; 38:2]

How many have We destroyed before them of a generation, then they called out; and it was not a time for escape.
[Al Quran ; 38:3]

And they wondered that there has come to them a warner from among them; and the unbelievers say: This is a lying magician.
[Al Quran ; 38:4]

Has he made the gods one god? Indeed, this is a strange thing.
[Al Quran ; 38:5]

And the chiefs among them went forth, (saying): Continue and be patient over your gods; indeed, this is a thing wanted.
[Al Quran ; 38:6]

We did not hear of this in the last faith; this is only a fabrication.
[Al Quran ; 38:7]

Has the reminder been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, they are in doubt about My reminder. Rather, they have not tasted My torture.
[Al Quran ; 38:8]

Or are theirs the tressures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the Giver?
[Al Quran ; 38:9]

Or is theirs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them? Then let them raise through reasons.
[Al Quran ; 38:10]

Soldiers who are defeated there from among the allies.
[Al Quran ; 38:11]

The people of Nuh denied before them, and Ad, and Firon the possessor of pegs.
[Al Quran ; 38:12]

And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the companions of the thicket. It is them who were the allies.
[Al Quran ; 38:13]

Indeed, each of them denied the messengers, so justified was My punishment.
[Al Quran ; 38:14]

And they do not wait except a single shout; for it, there will be no delay.
[Al Quran ; 38:15]

And they say: Our Lord! Hasten for us our share before the day of reckoning.
[Al Quran ; 38:16]

Be patient over what they say and remember Our servant Dawood, the possessor of power. Indeed, he was (always) returning (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 38:17]

Indeed, We subjected the mountains with him, glorifying (Allah) in the evening and sunrise.
[Al Quran ; 38:18]

And the birds were gathered; all with him turning (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 38:19]

And We strengthened his kingdom and gave him wisdom and a decisive speech.
[Al Quran ; 38:20]

Translation

Verses 21-40

And has there come to you the news of the contenders, when they climbed the wall of the sanctuary?
[Al Quran ; 38:21]

When they entered upon Dawood, so he was frightened by them; they said: Fear not; (we are) two contenders, one has transgressed against the other, so judge between us with truth and do not exceed the limits and guide us to the even path.
[Al Quran ; 38:22]

Indeed, this is my brother who has ninety-nine ewes, and for me is a single ewe; so he said: Entrust her to me, and he overpowered me in speech.
[Al Quran ; 38:23]

He (Dawood) said: He has certainly done injustice to you by asking your ewe to his ewes. And indeed, most of those who mix together transgress against one another, except those who have believed and done good deeds, and few are they. And Dawood thought that We had tried him, so he sought the forgiveness of his Lord and fell down bowing and turned (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 38:24]

So We forgave him that; and indeed, for him will be nearness to Us and an excellent return.
[Al Quran ; 38:25]

O Dawood! Indeed, We have made you a successor in the land; so judge between the people with the truth and do not follow (your) desire, lest it misguides you from the way of Allah. Indeed, those who are misguided from the way of Allah, for them will be a severe torture because they forgot the day of reckoning.
[Al Quran ; 38:26]

And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in falsehood; that is the thoughts of those who have disbelieved. So woe to those who have disbelieved from the fire.
[Al Quran ; 38:27]

Or should We make those who have believed and done good deeds like the mischief-makers in the land? Or should We make those who fear (Allah) like the wicked?
[Al Quran ; 38:28]

A book which We have sent down to you, blessed so that they might ponder over its signs and that those who possess minds remember.
[Al Quran ; 38:29]

And to Dawood We gave, Solaiman. Excellent was the servant; indeed, he was (always) returning (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 38:30]

When there were exhibited before him in the evening the poised racehorses.
[Al Quran ; 38:31]

So he said: Indeed, I liked the love of good things over the remembrance of my Lord until it (the sun) disappeared into hiding.
[Al Quran ; 38:32]

(Solaiman said:) Return them to me. And he began rubbing (their) legs and necks.
[Al Quran ; 38:33]

And We certainly tried Solaiman and placed (him) on his chair a body, so he turned (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 38:34]

He said: My Lord! Forgive me and give me a kingdom which would not belong to anyone after me; indeed, You are the Giver.
[Al Quran ; 38:35]

So We subjected to him the wind running by his command, gently, wherever he pointed.
[Al Quran ; 38:36]

And the devils, every building and diving.
[Al Quran ; 38:37]

And others bound in shackles.
[Al Quran ; 38:38]

This is Our giving, so grant or withhold without measure.
[Al Quran ; 38:39]

And indeed, for him will be nearness to Us and an excellent return.
[Al Quran ; 38:40]

And remember Our servant Ayoub, when he called to his Lord, (saying): Indeed, the devil has touched me with hardship and torture.
[Al Quran ; 38:41]

[Al Quran ; 38:44]

And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, the possessors of power and visions.
[Al Quran ; 38:45]

Indeed, We have chosen them exclusively for the remembrance of the (final) home.
[Al Quran ; 38:46]

And indeed, they are, to Us, among the chosen and the best ones.
[Al Quran ; 38:47]

And remember Ismail and Al-Yasa and Zal-kifl, and all are among the best ones.

(They will be saying) This is a company bursting in with you, no welcome for them. Indeed, they will be reaching the fire.
[Al Quran ; 38:59]

And they will say: Why do we not see men whom we used to count among the worst?
[Al Quran ; 38:62]

Was it that we took them in ridicule, or have our visions became disoriented from them?
[Al Quran ; 38:63]

Indeed, that is the truth of contending by the people of the fire.
[Al Quran ; 38:64]

Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god except Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
[Al Quran ; 38:65]

The Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Mighty, the Forgiver.
[Al Quran ; 38:66]

Say: It is great news.
[Al Quran ; 38:67]

From which you are turning away.
[Al Quran ; 38:68]

I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they were contending.
[Al Quran ; 38:69]

It is revealed to me that I am only an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 38:70]

When your Lord said to the angels: Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay.
[Al Quran ; 38:71]

So when I have fashioned him and blew into him of My spirit, then fall down to him in prostration.
[Al Quran ; 38:72]

So all the angels prostrated all together.
[Al Quran ; 38:73]

Except Iblis, he was arrogant and became among the unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 38:74]

He (Allah) said: O Iblis! What prevented you to prostrate to whom I created with My hands? Were you arrogant or were you among the haughty?
[Al Quran ; 38:75]

He (Iblis) said: I am better than him, You created me from fire and created him from clay.
[Al Quran ; 38:76]

He (Allah) said: Then get out from it, for indeed you are to be pelted.
[Al Quran ; 38:77]

And indeed, upon you will be My curse until the day of recompense.
[Al Quran ; 38:78]

He (Iblis) said: My Lord! Then reprieve me until the day when they will be resurrected.
[Al Quran ; 38:79]

He (Allah) said: So indeed, you are of those reprieved.
[Al Quran ; 38:80]

Until the day of the known time.
[Al Quran ; 38:81]

He (Iblis) said: By Your might, I will surely mislead them all together.
[Al Quran ; 38:82]

Except Your devote servants among them.
[Al Quran ; 38:83]

He (Allah) said: The truth is, and by the truth I say:
[Al Quran ; 38:84]

I will surely fill hell from among you and from among those who follow you all together.
[Al Quran ; 38:85]

Say: I do not ask you for it any wage, and I am not of the pretenders.
[Al Quran ; 38:86]

Indeed, it is only a reminder for the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 38:87]

And you will surely know its news after a time.
[Al Quran ; 38:88]
