Translation

Verses 1-20

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

---

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ (1)

Certainly will the believers have succeeded.
[Al Quran ; 23:1]

---

الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِمْ خَاشِعُونَ (2)

Those who are in their prayers humble.
[Al Quran ; 23:2]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنِ اللَّغْوِ مُعْرِضُونَ (3)

And those who are from ill speech turning away.
[Al Quran ; 23:3]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِلزَّكَاةِ فَاعِلُونَ (4)

And those who are concerning Zakah (Alms) committing.
[Al Quran ; 23:4]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ (5)

And those who are concerning their private parts guarding.
[Al Quran ; 23:5]

---

إِلَّا عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ (6)

Except for their spouses or those whom their oaths possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed.
[Al Quran ; 23:6]

فَمَنِ ابْتَغَىٰ وَرَاءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ (7)

And whoever desires beyond that, then it is them who are the perpetrators.
[Al Quran ; 23:7]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ (8)

And those who are concerning their trusts and their covenant caring.
[Al Quran ; 23:8]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَوَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ (9)

And those who are concerning their prayers maintaining.
[Al Quran ; 23:9]

---

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ (10)

It is them who are the heirs.
[Al Quran ; 23:10]

---

الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (11)

Those who will inherit the paradise, they will be therein abiding.
[Al Quran ; 23:11]

---

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ سُلَالَةٍ مِنْ طِينٍ (12)

And We have certainly created the human from an extract of clay.
[Al Quran ; 23:12]

---

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ (13)

And We made him a drop in a firm lodging.
[Al Quran ; 23:13]

---

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ (14)

And We made the drop a clinging egg, and We made the clinging egg a lump of flesh, and We made the lump of flesh bones, and We clothed the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessings from Allah, the best of the creators.
[Al Quran ; 23:14]

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ (15)

Then indeed, after that you are to die.
[Al Quran ; 23:15]

---

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ (16)

Then indeed, you will be on the day of resurrection resurrected.
[Al Quran ; 23:16]

---

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ (17)

And We have certainly created above you seven layers; and never have We been of (Our) creation unaware.
[Al Quran ; 23:17]

وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ (18)

And We have sent down from the sky water in a measure and settled it on the earth; and indeed, We are able to take it away.
[Al Quran ; 23:18]

فَأَنْشَأْنَا لَكُمْ بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (19)

And We established for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat.
[Al Quran ; 23:19]

وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنْبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِلْآكِلِينَ (20)

And a tree that emerges from mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat.
[Al Quran ; 23:20]

Translation

Verses 1-20

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

قَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ (1)

Certainly will the believers have succeeded.

---

Those who are in their prayers humble.

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ (16)

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ (17)

Al-Mu'minoon (The Believers)

Translation

Verses 21-40

---

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُسْقِيكُمْ مِمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (21)

And indeed, for you in the cattle is a lesson; We give you to drink from what is in their bellies, and for you in them are many benefits and from them you eat.
[Al Quran ; 23:21]

وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ (22)

And upon them and upon the ships you are carried.
[Al Quran ; 23:22]

---

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (23)

And We have certainly sent Nuh to his people, so he said: O my people! Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him; so will you not fear?
[Al Quran ; 23:23]

---

فَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنْزَلَ مَلَائِكَةً مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي آبَائِنَا الْأَوَّلِينَ (24)

So the chiefs of those who have disbelieved from among his people said: He is not except a human like you who wants to be superior over you, and if Allah had willed, He would have sent down angels; we have not heard of this among our former fathers.
[Al Quran ; 23:24]

---

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصُوا بِهِ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ (25)

Indeed, he is only a man possessed with madness, so watch him for a time.
[Al Quran ; 23:25]

---

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ (26)

He (Nuh) said: My Lord! Help me because they denied me.
[Al Quran ; 23:26]

---

فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْهِ أَنِ اصْنَعِ الْفُلْكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَوَحْيِنَا فَإِذَا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا وَفَارَ التَّنُّورُ ۙ فَاسْلُكْ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلٍّ زَوْجَيْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا مَنْ سَبَقَ عَلَيْهِ الْقَوْلُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَا تُخَاطِبْنِي فِي الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ۖ إِنَّهُمْ مُغْرَقُونَ (27)

So We revealed to him: Construct the ark before Our eyes and Our revelation; and when Our command comes and the oven overflows, put into it from each two and your followers, except those against whom the word has preceded; and do not speak to Me concerning those who are unjust, indeed, they are to be drowned.
[Al Quran ; 23:27]

---

فَإِذَا اسْتَوَيْتَ أَنْتَ وَمَنْ مَعَكَ عَلَى الْفُلْكِ فَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي نَجَّانَا مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ (28)

And when you have boarded, you and those with you, on the ark, say: Praise be to Allah who saved us from the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 23:28]

---

وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَنْزِلْنِي مُنْزَلًا مُبَارَكًا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْمُنْزِلِينَ (29)

And say: My Lord! Let me land at a blessed landing, and You are the best of those who bring to land.
[Al Quran ; 23:29]

---

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ (30)

Indeed, in that are signs; and indeed, We are ever testing (the people).
[Al Quran ; 23:30]

---

ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ (31)

Then We established after them a generation of others.
[Al Quran ; 23:31]

---

فَأَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مَا لَكُمْ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ غَيْرُهُ ۖ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (32)

And We sent among them a messenger from themselves, (saying): Worship Allah, you have no god other than Him; so will you not fear?
[Al Quran ; 23:32]

---

وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ (33)

So the chiefs of those from among his people who have disbelieved and denied the meeting of the hereafter, and whom We had given luxury in the life of this world, said: He is not except a human like you who eats from what you eat thereof and drinks from what you drink.
[Al Quran ; 23:33]

---

وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَخَاسِرُونَ (34)

And if you obey a human like you, then indeed, you would be losers.
[Al Quran ; 23:34]

---

أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُمْ مُخْرَجُونَ (35)

Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth?
[Al Quran ; 23:35]

---

هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ (36)

Haw far, how far is that which you are promised.
[Al Quran ; 23:36]

---

إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (37)

It is only our life in this world, we die and live, and we will not be resurrected.
[Al Quran ; 23:37]

---

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (38)

He is only a man who has forged about Allah lies, and we are not to him believers.
[Al Quran ; 23:38]

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ (39)

He said: My Lord! Help me because they denied me.
[Al Quran ; 23:39]

---

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ (40)

He (Allah) said: In a little while, they will surely become regretful.
[Al Quran ; 23:40]

Translation

Verses 21-40

---

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُسْقِيكُمْ مِمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (21)

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ وَإِنْ كُنَّا لَمُبْتَلِينَ (30)

وَقَالَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِلِقَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا مَا هَٰذَا إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ يَأْكُلُ مِمَّا تَأْكُلُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَشْرَبُ مِمَّا تَشْرَبُونَ (33)

[Al Quran ; 23:33]

---

وَلَئِنْ أَطَعْتُمْ بَشَرًا مِثْلَكُمْ إِنَّكُمْ إِذًا لَخَاسِرُونَ (34)

And if you obey a human like you, then indeed, you would be losers.
[Al Quran ; 23:34]

---

أَيَعِدُكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ إِذَا مِتُّمْ وَكُنْتُمْ تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَنَّكُمْ مُخْرَجُونَ (35)

Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth?
[Al Quran ; 23:35]

---

هَيْهَاتَ هَيْهَاتَ لِمَا تُوعَدُونَ (36)

Haw far, how far is that which you are promised.
[Al Quran ; 23:36]

---

إِنْ هِيَ إِلَّا حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا نَمُوتُ وَنَحْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (37)

It is only our life in this world, we die and live, and we will not be resurrected.
[Al Quran ; 23:37]

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَمَا نَحْنُ لَهُ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (38)

He is only a man who has forged about Allah lies, and we are not to him believers.
[Al Quran ; 23:38]

---

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي بِمَا كَذَّبُونِ (39)

He said: My Lord! Help me because they denied me.
[Al Quran ; 23:39]

---

قَالَ عَمَّا قَلِيلٍ لَيُصْبِحُنَّ نَادِمِينَ (40)

He (Allah) said: In a little while, they will surely become regretful.
[Al Quran ; 23:40]

Al-Mu�?????�????�???�??�?�¢??minoon (The Believers)

Translation

Verses 41-60

---

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ (41)

So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as wreckage. So away with the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 23:41]

---

ثُمَّ أَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قُرُونًا آخَرِينَ (42)

Then We established after them other generations.
[Al Quran ; 23:42]

---

مَا تَسْبِقُ مِنْ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَهَا وَمَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ (43)

No nation will precede their time, nor will they postpone (it).
[Al Quran ; 23:43]

---

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا تَتْرَىٰ ۖ كُلَّ مَا جَاءَ أُمَّةً رَسُولُهَا كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ فَأَتْبَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ بَعْضًا وَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ أَحَادِيثَ ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِقَوْمٍ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (44)

Then We sent Our messengers in succession. Every time there came to a nation its messenger, they denied him, so We made them follow one another, and We made them stories. So away with a people who do not believe.
[Al Quran ; 23:44]

ثُمَّ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَأَخَاهُ هَارُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (45)

Then We sent Musa and his brother Harun with Our signs and an obvious authority.
[Al Quran ; 23:45]

---

إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا وَكَانُوا قَوْمًا عَالِينَ (46)

To Firon and his chiefs, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people.
[Al Quran ; 23:46]

---

فَقَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لِبَشَرَيْنِ مِثْلِنَا وَقَوْمُهُمَا لَنَا عَابِدُونَ (47)

And they said: Will we believe in two humans like us while their people are to us worshippers?
[Al Quran ; 23:47]

---

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَكَانُوا مِنَ الْمُهْلَكِينَ (48)

So they denied them and became of those who were destroyed.
[Al Quran ; 23:48]

---

وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ (49)

And We have certainly given Musa the book that perhaps they would be guided.
[Al Quran ; 23:49]

---

وَجَعَلْنَا ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيْنَاهُمَا إِلَىٰ رَبْوَةٍ ذَاتِ قَرَارٍ وَمَعِينٍ (50)

And We made the son of Mariam and his mother a sign and sheltered them on a high ground which has security and a spring.
[Al Quran ; 23:50]

---

يَا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلُوا مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ (51)

O messengers! Eat of the good things and do good deeds; indeed, I am of what you do Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 23:51]

---

وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ (52)

And indeed, this is your nation, one nation, and I am your Lord, so fear Me.
[Al Quran ; 23:52]

---

فَتَقَطَّعُوا أَمْرَهُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ (53)

And they severed their affair between them into portions; each party over what they have is rejoicing.
[Al Quran ; 23:53]

---

فَذَرْهُمْ فِي غَمْرَتِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ (54)

So leave them in their confusion for a time.
[Al Quran ; 23:54]

---

أَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّمَا نُمِدُّهُمْ بِهِ مِنْ مَالٍ وَبَنِينَ (55)

Do they think that We extend for them of wealth and sons (as a reward)?
[Al Quran ; 23:55]

---

نُسَارِعُ لَهُمْ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ ۚ بَلْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (56)

We hasten for them the good things; rather, they do not perceive.
[Al Quran ; 23:56]

---

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ (57)

Indeed, those who are in fear of their Lord are apprehensive.
[Al Quran ; 23:57]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ (58)

And those who are in the signs of their Lord believing.
[Al Quran ; 23:58]

---

وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ لَا يُشْرِكُونَ (59)

And those who, with their Lord, do not associate (anything).
[Al Quran ; 23:59]

---

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ (60)

And those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful. Indeed, they are to their Lord returning.
[Al Quran ; 23:60]

Al-Mu�?????�????�???�??�?�¢??minoon (The Believers)

Translation

Verses 41-60

---

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ بِالْحَقِّ فَجَعَلْنَاهُمْ غُثَاءً ۚ فَبُعْدًا لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ (41)

Translation

Verses 61-80

---

أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ (61)

It is them who hasten to good, and they are for it foremost.
[Al Quran ; 23:61]

---

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ (62)

And We do not charge a soul except its capacity, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth; and they will not be wronged.
[Al Quran ; 23:62]

---

بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ مِنْ هَٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَالٌ مِنْ دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَامِلُونَ (63)

Rather, their hearts are covered in confusion over this (Quran). And for them are (evil) deeds other than that which they are doing.
[Al Quran ; 23:63]

---

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِمْ بِالْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْأَرُونَ (64)

Until when We seize their affluent ones with torture, at once they cry for help.
[Al Quran ; 23:64]

---

لَا تَجْأَرُوا الْيَوْمَ ۖ إِنَّكُمْ مِنَّا لَا تُنْصَرُونَ (65)

Cry not for help this day; indeed, you will not be, by Us, helped.
[Al Quran ; 23:65]

---

قَدْ كَانَتْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ عَلَىٰ أَعْقَابِكُمْ تَنْكِصُونَ (66)

My signs have been already recited to you, but you were upon your heels turning back.
[Al Quran ; 23:66]

---

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ بِهِ سَامِرًا تَهْجُرُونَ (67)

In arrogance towards it, (and) by night you tell fables.
[Al Quran ; 23:67]

---

أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُمْ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ (68)

So have they not pondered upon the saying, or has there come to them that which had not come to their former fathers?
[Al Quran ; 23:68]

---

أَمْ لَمْ يَعْرِفُوا رَسُولَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَهُ مُنْكِرُونَ (69)

Or Did they not recognize their messenger, so they are toward him deniers?
[Al Quran ; 23:69]

---

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَلْ جَاءَهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ لِلْحَقِّ كَارِهُونَ (70)

Or do they say: In him is madness. Rather, he has come to them with the truth, and most of them are, to the truth, haters.
[Al Quran ; 23:70]

---

وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الْحَقُّ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ لَفَسَدَتِ السَّمَاوَاتُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ ۚ بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِذِكْرِهِمْ فَهُمْ عَنْ ذِكْرِهِمْ مُعْرِضُونَ (71)

And had the Truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and whoever is therein would have been corrupted. Rather, We have brought to them their reminder,; and they are, from their reminder, turning away.
[Al Quran ; 23:71]

---

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ خَرْجًا فَخَرَاجُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ (72)

Or do you ask them for a payment? And the payment of your Lord is best. And He is the best of the providers.
[Al Quran ; 23:72]

---

وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (73)

And indeed, you surely invite them to a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 23:73]

---

وَإِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّرَاطِ لَنَاكِبُونَ (74)

And indeed, those who do not believe in the hereafter are surely, from the path, deviating.
[Al Quran ; 23:74]

---

وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ (75)

And if We granted them mercy and removed what is with them of harm, they would persist in their transgression blindly.
[Al Quran ; 23:75]

---

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ (76)

And We have certainly seized them with torture, yet they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate.
[Al Quran ; 23:76]

---

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ (77)

Until when We have opened upon them a door of severe torture, at once they will be therein in despair.
[Al Quran ; 23:77]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ (78)

And it is He Who established for you hearing and visions and hearts, little that you give thanks.
[Al Quran ; 23:78]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ (79)

And it is He Who made you settle on the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.
[Al Quran ; 23:79]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (80)

And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not then understand?
[Al Quran ; 23:80]

Translation

Verses 61-80

---

أُولَٰئِكَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْخَيْرَاتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَابِقُونَ (61)

It is them who hasten to good, and they are for it foremost.

---

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَابٌ يَنْطِقُ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ (62)

وَلَوْ رَحِمْنَاهُمْ وَكَشَفْنَا مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ ضُرٍّ لَلَجُّوا فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ (75)

And if We granted them mercy and removed what is with them of harm, they would persist in their transgression blindly.
[Al Quran ; 23:75]

---

وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ فَمَا اسْتَكَانُوا لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ (76)

And We have certainly seized them with torture, yet they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate.
[Al Quran ; 23:76]

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا ذَا عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ إِذَا هُمْ فِيهِ مُبْلِسُونَ (77)

Until when We have opened upon them a door of severe torture, at once they will be therein in despair.
[Al Quran ; 23:77]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ (78)

And it is He Who established for you hearing and visions and hearts, little that you give thanks.
[Al Quran ; 23:78]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ (79)

And it is He Who made you settle on the earth, and to Him you will be gathered.
[Al Quran ; 23:79]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ اخْتِلَافُ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ (80)

And it is He Who gives life and causes death, and to Him belongs the alternation of the night and the day. Will you not then understand?

Al-Mu�?????�????�???�??�?�¢??minoon (The Believers)

Translation

Verses 81-100

---

بَلْ قَالُوا مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ الْأَوَّلُونَ (81)

Rather, they say like what the former (people) said.
[Al Quran ; 23:81]

---

قَالُوا أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ (82)

They said: When we are dead and become dust and bones, will we be resurrected?
[Al Quran ; 23:82]

---

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَآبَاؤُنَا هَٰذَا مِنْ قَبْلُ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ (83)

We have certainly been promised, we and our fathers, this before; indeed, this is only the stories of former (people).
[Al Quran ; 23:83]

قُلْ لِمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (84)

Say: To whom belongs the earth and whoever is therein, if you should know?
[Al Quran ; 23:84]

---

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (85)

They will say: To Allah. Say: Will you not then remember?
[Al Quran ; 23:85]

---

قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ (86)

Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the great throne?
[Al Quran ; 23:86]

---

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (87)

They will say: To Allah. Say: Will you not then fear?
[Al Quran ; 23:87]

---

قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (88)

Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of everything and Who gives support while support is not given against Him, if you should know?
[Al Quran ; 23:88]

---

سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ (89)

They will say: To Allah. Say: Then how are you bewitched?
[Al Quran ; 23:89]

---

بَلْ أَتَيْنَاهُمْ بِالْحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ (90)

Rather, We have brought to them the truth; and indeed, they are liars.
[Al Quran ; 23:90]

---

مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِنْ وَلَدٍ وَمَا كَانَ مَعَهُ مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلَٰهٍ بِمَا خَلَقَ وَلَعَلَا بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (91)

Allah has not taken a child, nor was there a god with him. (If there had been), then each god would have taken what he created, and some of them would have sought to rise above the others. Glory be to Allah over what they describe.
[Al Quran ; 23:91]

---

عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (92)

The Knower of the unseen and the testimony; and exalted is Allah above what they associate (with Him).
[Al Quran ; 23:92]

---

قُلْ رَبِّ إِمَّا تُرِيَنِّي مَا يُوعَدُونَ (93)

Say: My Lord! If you should show me that which they are promised.
[Al Quran ; 23:93]

---

رَبِّ فَلَا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ (94)

My Lord! Do not make me from among the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 23:94]

---

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُونَ (95)

And indeed, We are, over showing you what We have promised them, Capable.
[Al Quran ; 23:95]

---

ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ (96)

Repel, by what is best, evil. We are most Knowing of what they describe.
[Al Quran ; 23:96]

---

وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ (97)

And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils.
[Al Quran ; 23:97]

---

وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ (98)

And I seek refuge in You, my Lord, lest they be present with me.
[Al Quran ; 23:98]

---

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ الْمَوْتُ قَالَ رَبِّ ارْجِعُونِ (99)

Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: My Lord! Send me back.
[Al Quran ; 23:99]

---

لَعَلِّي أَعْمَلُ صَالِحًا فِيمَا تَرَكْتُ ۚ كَلَّا ۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَائِلُهَا ۖ وَمِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ بَرْزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ (100)

That I might do good deed in that which I have left. No! It is a word that he is saying, and behind them is a barrier until the day they are resurrected.

Translation

Verses 81-100

---

Rather, they say like what the former (people) said.

---

Verses 101-118

---

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ (101)

So when the trumpet is blown, there will be no relationships between them on that day, nor will they ask each other.
[Al Quran ; 23:101]

---

فَمَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ (102)

And those whose scales are heavy, it is them who are the successful.
[Al Quran ; 23:102]

---

وَمَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ فَأُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ فِي جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدُونَ (103)

And those whose scales are light, it is them who have lost their souls, in hell they are abiding.
[Al Quran ; 23:103]

تَلْفَحُ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ وَهُمْ فِيهَا كَالِحُونَ (104)

Their faces are seared with fire, and they are therein frowning.
[Al Quran ; 23:104]

---

أَلَمْ تَكُنْ آيَاتِي تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ فَكُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ (105)

Were not My signs recited to you and you used to deny them?
[Al Quran ; 23:105]

---

قَالُوا رَبَّنَا غَلَبَتْ عَلَيْنَا شِقْوَتُنَا وَكُنَّا قَوْمًا ضَالِّينَ (106)

They will say: Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us and we were misguided people.
[Al Quran ; 23:106]

---

رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْهَا فَإِنْ عُدْنَا فَإِنَّا ظَالِمُونَ (107)

Our Lord! Remove us from it; and if we return (to evil), then indeed, we will be unjust.
[Al Quran ; 23:107]

---

قَالَ اخْسَئُوا فِيهَا وَلَا تُكَلِّمُونِ (108)

He will say: Remain despised therein and speak not to Me.
[Al Quran ; 23:108]

---

إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (109)

Indeed, there was a team of My servants who used to say: Our Lord! We have believed, so forgive us and grant us mercy, and You are the best of the Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 23:109]

---

فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ (110)

And you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and at them you used to laugh.
[Al Quran ; 23:110]

---

إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ (111)

Indeed, I have rewarded them this day for their patience. Indeed, they are surely the winners.
[Al Quran ; 23:111]

---

قَالَ كَمْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ (112)

He will say: How long have you remained on the earth of counted years?
[Al Quran ; 23:112]

---

قَالُوا لَبِثْنَا يَوْمًا أَوْ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ فَاسْأَلِ الْعَادِّينَ (113)

They will say: We remained a day or part of a day. So ask those who keep count.
[Al Quran ; 23:113]

---

قَالَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا ۖ لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (114)

He will say: You remained only a little, if only you had known.
[Al Quran ; 23:114]

---

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ (115)

So did you think that We had created you uselessly and that you will not be, to Us, returned?
[Al Quran ; 23:115]

---

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ (116)

And exalted is Allah, the King; the Truth; there is no god except He, the Lord of the noble throne.
[Al Quran ; 23:116]

---

وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ (117)

And whoever calls with Allah another god for which he has no proof; his reckoning is only with his Lord; indeed, the unbelievers will never succussed.
[Al Quran ; 23:117]

---

وَقُلْ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (118)

And say: My Lord! Forgive and grant mercy, and You are the best of the Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 23:118]

Verses 101-118

---

فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَلَا أَنْسَابَ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَلَا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ (101)

إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَرِيقٌ مِنْ عِبَادِي يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا آمَنَّا فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (109)

Indeed, there was a team of My servants who used to say: Our Lord! We have believed, so forgive us and grant us mercy, and You are the best of the Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 23:109]

فَاتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰ أَنْسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِي وَكُنْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ (110)

And you took them in mockery until they made you forget My remembrance, and at them you used to laugh.
[Al Quran ; 23:110]

---

إِنِّي جَزَيْتُهُمُ الْيَوْمَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا أَنَّهُمْ هُمُ الْفَائِزُونَ (111)

Indeed, I have rewarded them this day for their patience. Indeed, they are surely the winners.

---

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ أَنَّمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا تُرْجَعُونَ (115)

So did you think that We had created you uselessly and that you will not be, to Us, returned?
[Al Quran ; 23:115]

---

فَتَعَالَى اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْكَرِيمِ (116)

And exalted is Allah, the King; the Truth; there is no god except He, the Lord of the noble throne.
[Al Quran ; 23:116]

---

وَمَنْ يَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ لَا بُرْهَانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لَا يُفْلِحُ الْكَافِرُونَ (117)

And whoever calls with Allah another god for which he has no proof; his reckoning is only with his Lord; indeed, the unbelievers will never succussed.
[Al Quran ; 23:117]

وَقُلْ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ (118)

And say: My Lord! Forgive and grant mercy, and You are the best of the Merciful.
