Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)

Translation

Verses 1-20

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

---

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا رَبَّكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ زَلْزَلَةَ السَّاعَةِ شَيْءٌ عَظِيمٌ (1)

O people! Fear your Lord; indeed, the shaking of the hour is a great thing.
[Al Quran ; 22:1]

يَوْمَ تَرَوْنَهَا تَذْهَلُ كُلُّ مُرْضِعَةٍ عَمَّا أَرْضَعَتْ وَتَضَعُ كُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَى النَّاسَ سُكَارَىٰ وَمَا هُمْ بِسُكَارَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ (2)

The day you see it stunning every nursing mother from that she was nursing, and every pregnant woman will terminate her pregnancy. And you will see the people intoxicated while they will not be intoxicated; but the torture of Allah is severe.
[Al Quran ; 22:2]

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَيَتَّبِعُ كُلَّ شَيْطَانٍ مَرِيدٍ (3)

And of the people is one who disputes about Allah without knowledge and follows every rebellious devil.
[Al Quran ; 22:3]

كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ مَنْ تَوَلَّاهُ فَأَنَّهُ يُضِلُّهُ وَيَهْدِيهِ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ (4)

It has been decreed upon him (the devil) that whoever takes him as a guardian, he will misguide him and lead him to the torture of the blaze.
[Al Quran ; 22:4]

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِنَ الْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ مُضْغَةٍ مُخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِي الْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا ۚ وَتَرَى الْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنْبَتَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ (5)

O people! If you are in doubt about the resurrection, then indeed, We created you from dust, then from a drop, then from a clinging egg, then from a lump of flesh, formed and unformed, that We may explain to you. And We cause whom We will to settle in the wombs for a specified term, then We bring you out as babies, then you may reach your maturity. And among you is one who is caused to die (early), and among you is one who is returned to the toughest part of age (old age) so that he does not know, after having knowledge, a thing. And you see the earth barren, but when We send down upon it water, it shakes and swells and grows of every beautiful pair.
[Al Quran ; 22:5]

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّهُ يُحْيِي الْمَوْتَىٰ وَأَنَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (6)

That is because Allah is the Truth and because He gives life to the dead and because He is over everything Capable.
[Al Quran ; 22:6]

وَأَنَّ السَّاعَةَ آتِيَةٌ لَا رَيْبَ فِيهَا وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبْعَثُ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ (7)

And indeed, the hour is coming about which there is no doubt. And indeed, Allah resurrects those who are in the graves.
[Al Quran ; 22:7]

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَابٍ مُنِيرٍ (8)

And of the people is one who disputes about Allah without knowledge and without guidance and without an enlightening book.
[Al Quran ; 22:8]

ثَانِيَ عِطْفِهِ لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۖ لَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ ۖ وَنُذِيقُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ (9)

Twisting his side in order to misguide from the way of Allah. For him in this world is disgrace, and We will make him taste on the day of resurrection the torture of burning.
[Al Quran ; 22:9]

ذَٰلِكَ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاكَ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِظَلَّامٍ لِلْعَبِيدِ (10)

That is for what your hands have put forth. And indeed, Allah is not unjust to the servants.
[Al Quran ; 22:10]

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَعْبُدُ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ حَرْفٍ ۖ فَإِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ اطْمَأَنَّ بِهِ ۖ وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ فِتْنَةٌ انْقَلَبَ عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ خَسِرَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةَ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْخُسْرَانُ الْمُبِينُ (11)

And of the people is one who worships Allah on an edge, but if he is struck by good, he is reassured thereby, and if he is struck by trial, he turns over his face; he has lost this world and the hereafter; that is the manifest loss.
[Al Quran ; 22:11]

يَدْعُو مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُ وَمَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الضَّلَالُ الْبَعِيدُ (12)

He supplicates other than Allah that which neither harms him nor benefits him. That is the distant misguidance.
[Al Quran ; 22:12]

يَدْعُو لَمَنْ ضَرُّهُ أَقْرَبُ مِنْ نَفْعِهِ ۚ لَبِئْسَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَلَبِئْسَ الْعَشِيرُ (13)

He supplicates that whose harm is nearer (to him) than its benefit; how miserable is the guardian and how miserable is the company.
[Al Quran ; 22:13]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يُرِيدُ (14)

Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done good deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow. Indeed, Allah does what He wants.
[Al Quran ; 22:14]

مَنْ كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَنْ لَنْ يَنْصُرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ ثُمَّ لْيَقْطَعْ فَلْيَنْظُرْ هَلْ يُذْهِبَنَّ كَيْدُهُ مَا يَغِيظُ (15)

Whoever thinks that Allah will not support him in this world and the hereafter, let him extend a rope to the heaven, then let him cut (it) off, then let him see if his plan will remove that which enrages (him).
[Al Quran ; 22:15]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَهْدِي مَنْ يُرِيدُ (16)

And thus have We sent it down as clear signs; and indeed, Allah guides whom He wants.
[Al Quran ; 22:16]

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَالَّذِينَ هَادُوا وَالصَّابِئِينَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ وَالْمَجُوسَ وَالَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ (17)

Indeed, those who have believed and those who are Jews and the Sabians and the Christians and the Magians and those who associated (others with Allah), Allah will decide between them on the day of resurrection. Indeed, Allah is over everything Witnessing.
[Al Quran ; 22:17]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُومُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ الْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَنْ يُهِنِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ (18)

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth and the sun and the moon and the stars and the mountains and the trees and the walking creatures and many of the people? But upon many the torture has been justified. And one whom Allah humiliates, for him there will be none to honour him. Indeed, Allah does what He wills.
[Al Quran ; 22:18]

هَٰذَانِ خَصْمَانِ اخْتَصَمُوا فِي رَبِّهِمْ ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قُطِّعَتْ لَهُمْ ثِيَابٌ مِنْ نَارٍ يُصَبُّ مِنْ فَوْقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ الْحَمِيمُ (19)

These are two adversaries who disputed over their Lord; so those who have disbelieved will have cut out for them garments of fire, (and) poured over their heads boiling water.
[Al Quran ; 22:19]

يُصْهَرُ بِهِ مَا فِي بُطُونِهِمْ وَالْجُلُودُ (20)

By which is melted what is in their bellies and skins.
[Al Quran ; 22:20]

Verses 21-40

---

وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (21)

And for them are maces of iron.
[Al Quran ; 22:21]

---

كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ (22)

Every time they want to get out of it from grief, they will be returned to it. (It will be said to them) and taste the torture of burning.
[Al Quran ; 22:22]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ (23)

Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done good deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
[Al Quran ; 22:23]

وَهُدُوا إِلَى الطَّيِّبِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوا إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْحَمِيدِ (24)

And they have been guided to good saying, and they have been guided to the praised path.
[Al Quran ; 22:24]

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ الَّذِي جَعَلْنَاهُ لِلنَّاسِ سَوَاءً الْعَاكِفُ فِيهِ وَالْبَادِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ فِيهِ بِإِلْحَادٍ بِظُلْمٍ نُذِقْهُ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (25)

Indeed, those who have disbelieved and hinder from the way of Allah and from the sacred mosque which We have made for the people, equal are the dweller therein and the visitor. And whoever intends therein heresy and unjust, We will make him taste from a painful torture.
[Al Quran ; 22:25]

وَإِذْ بَوَّأْنَا لِإِبْرَاهِيمَ مَكَانَ الْبَيْتِ أَنْ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِي شَيْئًا وَطَهِّرْ بَيْتِيَ لِلطَّائِفِينَ وَالْقَائِمِينَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُودِ (26)

And when We designated for Ibrahim the place of the house, (saying): Do not associate with Me a thing and purify My house for those who go around (the house) and those who establish prayers and those who bow and prostrate.
[Al Quran ; 22:26]

وَأَذِّنْ فِي النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍ يَأْتِينَ مِنْ كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍ (27)

And proclaim among the people the pilgrimage; they will come to you on foot. And on every lean camel, they will come from every distant pass.
[Al Quran ; 22:27]

لِيَشْهَدُوا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ فِي أَيَّامٍ مَعْلُومَاتٍ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِنْ بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۖ فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ (28)

That they may witness benefits for them and mention the name of Allah on known days over what He has provided for them from the beast of cattle, then eat of it and feed the miserable and poor.
[Al Quran ; 22:28]

ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ (29)

Then let them finish their untidiness and fulfil their vows and go round the old house.
[Al Quran ; 22:29]

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ يُعَظِّمْ حُرُمَاتِ اللَّهِ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِ ۗ وَأُحِلَّتْ لَكُمُ الْأَنْعَامُ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الرِّجْسَ مِنَ الْأَوْثَانِ وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ (30)

That (has been commanded), and whoever glorifies the sacred ordinances of Allah, it is good for him with his Lord. And lawful to you are the cattle, except what is recited to you; so avoid the uncleanness of the idols and avoid false testimony.
[Al Quran ; 22:30]

حُنَفَاءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ الطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِي بِهِ الرِّيحُ فِي مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ (31)

Being upright to Allah while not associating with Him. And whoever associates with Allah, it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or dropped by the wind into a deep place.
[Al Quran ; 22:31]

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ يُعَظِّمْ شَعَائِرَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ تَقْوَى الْقُلُوبِ (32)

That (has been commanded), and whoever glorifies the symbols of Allah, then indeed, it is from the piety of the hearts.
[Al Quran ; 22:32]

---

لَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ثُمَّ مَحِلُّهَا إِلَى الْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ (33)

For you therein are benefits for a specified term, then its place (of sacrifice) is the old house.
[Al Quran ; 22:33]

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنْسَكًا لِيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِنْ بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ ۗ فَإِلَٰهُكُمْ إِلَٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ فَلَهُ أَسْلِمُوا ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينَ (34)

And for every nation We have made a rite that they mention the name of Allah for what He has provided for them of the beast of cattle. And your god is one God, so to Him submit. And give good tidings to the humble.
[Al Quran ; 22:34]

الَّذِينَ إِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَجِلَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَالصَّابِرِينَ عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ وَالْمُقِيمِي الصَّلَاةِ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ (35)

Who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and those who are patient over that which struck them; and the establishers of prayer, and from what We provided for them, they spend.
[Al Quran ; 22:35]

وَالْبُدْنَ جَعَلْنَاهَا لَكُمْ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ لَكُمْ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ ۖ فَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا صَوَافَّ ۖ فَإِذَا وَجَبَتْ جُنُوبُهَا فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرْنَاهَا لَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ (36)

And the camels and cattle which We have made for you from the symbols of Allah, for you therein is good. So mention the name of Allah upon them while (they are) lined up (for sacrifice), and when they fall on their sides (lifeless), eat from them and feed those who do not ask and those who ask. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may give thanks.
[Al Quran ; 22:36]

لَنْ يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَٰكِنْ يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنْكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ ۗ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُحْسِنِينَ (37)

Their meat will not reach Allah nor will their blood, but it will be reached by the devoted among you; thus has He subjected them to you that you may magnify Allah for that to which He has guided you. And give good tidings to the doers of good.
[Al Quran ; 22:37]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٍ كَفُورٍ (38)

Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful.
[Al Quran ; 22:38]

أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَاتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ظُلِمُوا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصْرِهِمْ لَقَدِيرٌ (39)

It is permitted (to fight) for those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is over their help Capable.
[Al Quran ; 22:39]

الَّذِينَ أُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ إِلَّا أَنْ يَقُولُوا رَبُّنَا اللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللَّهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَهُدِّمَتْ صَوَامِعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَاتٌ وَمَسَاجِدُ يُذْكَرُ فِيهَا اسْمُ اللَّهِ كَثِيرًا ۗ وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (40)

Those who have been evicted from their homes without right, except that they say: Our Lord is Allah. And had it not been that Allah repels some people by others, there would have been destruction of monasteries and churches and places of prayers and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him (His cause); indeed, Allah is Strong, Mighty.

Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)

Translation

Verses 21-40

---

وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (21)

And for them are maces of iron.
[Al Quran ; 22:21]

---

كُلَّمَا أَرَادُوا أَنْ يَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا مِنْ غَمٍّ أُعِيدُوا فِيهَا وَذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ (22)

Every time they want to get out of it from grief, they will be returned to it. (It will be said to them) and taste the torture of burning.
[Al Quran ; 22:22]

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ (23)

Indeed, Allah will admit those who have believed and done good deeds into gardens beneath which rivers flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk.
[Al Quran ; 22:23]

وَهُدُوا إِلَى الطَّيِّبِ مِنَ الْقَوْلِ وَهُدُوا إِلَىٰ صِرَاطِ الْحَمِيدِ (24)

And they have been guided to good saying, and they have been guided to the praised path.
[Al Quran ; 22:24]

---

Translation

Verses 41-60

---

الَّذِينَ إِنْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ (41)

Those who, if We give them them authority in the land, they establish prayer and pay Zakah (Alms) and command what is good and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of (all) affairs.
[Al Quran ; 22:41]

وَإِنْ يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ (42)

And if they deny you, then (likewise) before them did the people of Nuh and Aad and Thamud deny.
[Al Quran ; 22:42]

وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ (43)

And the people of Ibrahim and the people of Lut.
[Al Quran ; 22:43]

---

وَأَصْحَابُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ (44)

And the companions Madyan. And Musa was denied; so I prolonged for the unbelievers, then I seized them. So how was (My) reproach.
[Al Quran ; 22:44]

فَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ مُعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَشِيدٍ (45)

So how many a village did We destroy while it was unjust, so it has fallen upon its buildings, and (how many) an abandoned well and (how many) a lofty palace.
[Al Quran ; 22:45]

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَٰكِنْ تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ (46)

So have they not travelled in the land and have hearts by which to understand and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not the eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
[Al Quran ; 22:46]

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ ۚ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ (47)

And they ask you to hasten torture; and Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.
[Al Quran ; 22:47]

وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ (48)

And how many a village for which I prolonged while it was unjust, then I seized it. And to Me is the destination.
[Al Quran ; 22:48]

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (49)

Say: O people! I am only to you an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 22:49]

---

فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ (50)

So those who have believed and done good deeds, for them will be forgiveness and an honourable provision.
[Al Quran ; 22:50]

وَالَّذِينَ سَعَوْا فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ (51)

And those who strive against Our signs in opposition, it is them who will be the companions of the hellfire.
[Al Quran ; 22:51]

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولٍ وَلَا نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا إِذَا تَمَنَّىٰ أَلْقَى الشَّيْطَانُ فِي أُمْنِيَّتِهِ فَيَنْسَخُ اللَّهُ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ ثُمَّ يُحْكِمُ اللَّهُ آيَاتِهِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلِيمٌ حَكِيمٌ (52)

And We did not send before you any messenger or a prophet except that when he desired, the devil threw (corruption) into his desire; but Allah abolishes that which the devil throws in, then does Allah make precise His signs. And Allah is Knowing, Wise.
[Al Quran ; 22:52]

لِيَجْعَلَ مَا يُلْقِي الشَّيْطَانُ فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ وَالْقَاسِيَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ لَفِي شِقَاقٍ بَعِيدٍ (53)

So that He (Allah) may make what the devil throws a trial for those in whose hearts is disease and those whose hearts are hard. And indeed, the unjust are in distant opposition (from the truth).
[Al Quran ; 22:53]

وَلِيَعْلَمَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكَ فَيُؤْمِنُوا بِهِ فَتُخْبِتَ لَهُ قُلُوبُهُمْ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهَادِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (54)

And that those who were given knowledge may know that it is the truth from your Lord and believe in it, and their hearts humble to it. And indeed, Allah will surely guide those who have believed to a straight path.

وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِنْهُ حَتَّىٰ تَأْتِيَهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً أَوْ يَأْتِيَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَقِيمٍ (55)

And yet, those who have disbelieved are in doubt of it until the hour comes to them suddenly or there comes to them a torture of a barren day.
[Al Quran ; 22:55]

الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فِي جَنَّاتِ النَّعِيمِ (56)

The kingdom on that day belongs to Allah; He will judge between them. So those who have believed and done good deeds will be in the gardens of pleasure.
[Al Quran ; 22:56]

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ مُهِينٌ (57)

And those who have disbelieved and denied Our signs, its is them for whom there will be a humiliating torture.
[Al Quran ; 22:57]

وَالَّذِينَ هَاجَرُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ قُتِلُوا أَوْ مَاتُوا لَيَرْزُقَنَّهُمُ اللَّهُ رِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ (58)

And those who emigrated for the way of Allah and then were killed or died, Allah will surely provide for them a good provision. And indeed, Allah is the best Provider.
[Al Quran ; 22:58]

لَيُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ مُدْخَلًا يَرْضَوْنَهُ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَلِيمٌ حَلِيمٌ (59)

He will surely admit them into an entrance with which they will be well pleased. And indeed, Allah is Knowing, Forbearing.
[Al Quran ; 22:59]

ذَٰلِكَ وَمَنْ عَاقَبَ بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِ ثُمَّ بُغِيَ عَلَيْهِ لَيَنْصُرَنَّهُ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٌ (60)

That (is so). And whoever punishes with the like of that with which he was punished and then is oppressed, Allah will surely support him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning, Forgiving.

Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage)

Translation

Verses 41-60

---

الَّذِينَ إِنْ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَمَرُوا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَهَوْا عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ (41)

Those who, if We give them them authority in the land, they establish prayer and pay Zakah (Alms) and command what is good and forbid what is wrong. And to Allah belongs the outcome of (all) affairs.
[Al Quran ; 22:41]

وَإِنْ يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ (42)

And if they deny you, then (likewise) before them did the people of Nuh and Aad and Thamud deny.
[Al Quran ; 22:42]

وَقَوْمُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ (43)

And the people of Ibrahim and the people of Lut.
[Al Quran ; 22:43]

---

وَأَصْحَابُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ (44)

And the companions Madyan. And Musa was denied; so I prolonged for the unbelievers, then I seized them. So how was (My) reproach.
[Al Quran ; 22:44]

فَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَهْلَكْنَاهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ فَهِيَ خَاوِيَةٌ عَلَىٰ عُرُوشِهَا وَبِئْرٍ مُعَطَّلَةٍ وَقَصْرٍ مَشِيدٍ (45)

So how many a village did We destroy while it was unjust, so it has fallen upon its buildings, and (how many) an abandoned well and (how many) a lofty palace.
[Al Quran ; 22:45]

أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا ۖ فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَٰكِنْ تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ (46)

So have they not travelled in the land and have hearts by which to understand and ears by which to hear? For indeed, it is not the eyes that are blinded, but blinded are the hearts which are within the breasts.
[Al Quran ; 22:46]

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَلَنْ يُخْلِفَ اللَّهُ وَعْدَهُ ۚ وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ (47)

And they ask you to hasten torture; and Allah will never fail in His promise. And indeed, a day with your Lord is like a thousand years of what you count.
[Al Quran ; 22:47]

وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ أَمْلَيْتُ لَهَا وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهَا وَإِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ (48)

And how many a village for which I prolonged while it was unjust, then I seized it. And to Me is the destination.
[Al Quran ; 22:48]

قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (49)

Say: O people! I am only to you an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 22:49]

---

فَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ (50)

So those who have believed and done good deeds, for them will be forgiveness and an honourable provision.
[Al Quran ; 22:50]

وَالَّذِينَ سَعَوْا فِي آيَاتِنَا مُعَاجِزِينَ أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ (51)

Translation

Verses 61-78

---

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ (61)

That is because Allah merges the night into the day and merges the day into the night. And indeed, Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
[Al Quran ; 22:61]

---

ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ هُوَ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ (62)

That is because Allah is the Truth, but that which they supplicate other than Him is falsehood. And indeed, Allah is the High, the Grand.
[Al Quran ; 22:62]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَتُصْبِحُ الْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ (63)

Do you not see that Allah sends down from the sky water so the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle, Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 22:63]

لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ (64)

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Rich, the Praised.
[Al Quran ; 22:64]

---

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ (65)

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He withholds the sky from falling upon the earth except with His permission. Indeed Allah is to the people Kind, Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 22:65]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ (66)

And it is He Who gave you life, then He causes you to die, then He gives you life (again). Indeed, the human is ungrateful.
[Al Quran ; 22:66]

---

لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنْسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ ۖ فَلَا يُنَازِعُنَّكَ فِي الْأَمْرِ ۚ وَادْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى مُسْتَقِيمٍ (67)

For every nation We made rites which they perform, so let them not contend with you over the matter and invite to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
[Al Quran ; 22:67]

---

وَإِنْ جَادَلُوكَ فَقُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ (68)

And if they argue with you, say: Allah is most Knowing what you do.
[Al Quran ; 22:68]

---

اللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ (69)

Allah will judge between you on the day of resurrection concerning that about which you used to disagree.
[Al Quran ; 22:69]

---

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِي كِتَابٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ (70)

Do you not know that Allah knows whatever is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed, that is in a book; indeed, that is upon Allah easy.
[Al Quran ; 22:70]

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۗ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ نَصِيرٍ (71)

And they worship other than Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the unjust any supporter.
[Al Quran ; 22:71]

---

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمُنْكَرَ ۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِالَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا ۗ قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَرٍّ مِنْ ذَٰلِكُمُ ۗ النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ (72)

And when Our signs are recited to them as proofs, you will recognise in the faces of those who have disbelieved denial; they almost overpower those who recite to them Our signs. Say: Will I inform you of what is worse than that? The fire which Allah has promised to those who have disbelieved, and miserable is the destination.
[Al Quran ; 22:72]

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَنْ يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ ۖ وَإِنْ يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَا يَسْتَنْقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ۚ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ (73)

O people! An example is struck, so listen to it: Indeed, those whom you supplicate other than Allah cannot create flies, even if they gather together for it. And if the flies steal from them a thing, they could not recover it from it; weak are the pursuer and the pursued.
[Al Quran ; 22:73]

مَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (74)

They did not appraise Allah with true appraisal. Indeed; Allah is Strong, Mighty.
[Al Quran ; 22:74]

اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ (75)

Allah chooses from among the angels messengers, and from among the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
[Al Quran ; 22:75]

---

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ (76)

He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and to Allah will be returned all affairs.
[Al Quran ; 22:76]

---

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ارْكَعُوا وَاسْجُدُوا وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ (77)

O you who have believed! Bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good that you may succeed.
[Al Quran ; 22:77]

وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ ۚ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ ۚ مِلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَفِي هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ ۚ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ (78)

And strive for Allah with striving that is due to Him. He has chosen you and has not made upon you in the religion any difficulty. The faith of your father Ibrahim; he named you submitters before and in this that the messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and pay Zakah (Alms) and be united with Allah. He is your Guardian and excellent is the guardian and excellent is the supporter.

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَتُصْبِحُ الْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ (63)

Do you not see that Allah sends down from the sky water so the earth becomes green? Indeed, Allah is Subtle, Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 22:63]

لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُوَ الْغَنِيُّ الْحَمِيدُ (64)

To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Rich, the Praised.
[Al Quran ; 22:64]

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ (65)

Do you not see that Allah has subjected to you whatever is on the earth and the ships which run through the sea by His command? And He withholds the sky from falling upon the earth except with His permission. Indeed Allah is to the people Kind, Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 22:65]

---

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَحْيَاكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۗ إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ (66)

And it is He Who gave you life, then He causes you to die, then He gives you life (again). Indeed, the human is ungrateful.
[Al Quran ; 22:66]

لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنْسَكًا هُمْ نَاسِكُوهُ ۖ فَلَا يُنَازِعُنَّكَ فِي الْأَمْرِ ۚ وَادْعُ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ هُدًى مُسْتَقِيمٍ (67)

For every nation We made rites which they perform, so let them not contend with you over the matter and invite to your Lord. Indeed, you are upon straight guidance.
[Al Quran ; 22:67]

وَإِنْ جَادَلُوكَ فَقُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ (68)

And if they argue with you, say: Allah is most Knowing what you do.
[Al Quran ; 22:68]

---

اللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ بَيْنَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فِيمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ (69)

Allah will judge between you on the day of resurrection concerning that about which you used to disagree.
[Al Quran ; 22:69]

أَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ فِي كِتَابٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ (70)

Do you not know that Allah knows whatever is in the heaven and the earth? Indeed, that is in a book; indeed, that is upon Allah easy.
[Al Quran ; 22:70]

وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۗ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ نَصِيرٍ (71)

And they worship other than Allah that for which He has not sent down any authority and that of which they have no knowledge. And there will not be for the unjust any supporter.
[Al Quran ; 22:71]

وَإِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا الْمُنْكَرَ ۖ يَكَادُونَ يَسْطُونَ بِالَّذِينَ يَتْلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِنَا ۗ قُلْ أَفَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِشَرٍّ مِنْ ذَٰلِكُمُ ۗ النَّارُ وَعَدَهَا اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ (72)

And when Our signs are recited to them as proofs, you will recognise in the faces of those who have disbelieved denial; they almost overpower those who recite to them Our signs. Say: Will I inform you of what is worse than that? The fire which Allah has promised to those who have disbelieved, and miserable is the destination.
[Al Quran ; 22:72]

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَنْ يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ ۖ وَإِنْ يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَا يَسْتَنْقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ۚ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ (73)

O people! An example is struck, so listen to it: Indeed, those whom you supplicate other than Allah cannot create flies, even if they gather together for it. And if the flies steal from them a thing, they could not recover it from it; weak are the pursuer and the pursued.
[Al Quran ; 22:73]

مَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (74)

They did not appraise Allah with true appraisal. Indeed; Allah is Strong, Mighty.
[Al Quran ; 22:74]

اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ (75)

Allah chooses from among the angels messengers, and from among the people. Indeed, Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
[Al Quran ; 22:75]

---

يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ (76)

He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and to Allah will be returned all affairs.
[Al Quran ; 22:76]

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ارْكَعُوا وَاسْجُدُوا وَاعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمْ وَافْعَلُوا الْخَيْرَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُونَ (77)

O you who have believed! Bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good that you may succeed.
[Al Quran ; 22:77]

وَجَاهِدُوا فِي اللَّهِ حَقَّ جِهَادِهِ ۚ هُوَ اجْتَبَاكُمْ وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ ۚ مِلَّةَ أَبِيكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ۚ هُوَ سَمَّاكُمُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَفِي هَٰذَا لِيَكُونَ الرَّسُولُ شَهِيدًا عَلَيْكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا شُهَدَاءَ عَلَى النَّاسِ ۚ فَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِاللَّهِ هُوَ مَوْلَاكُمْ ۖ فَنِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ (78)

And strive for Allah with striving that is due to Him. He has chosen you and has not made upon you in the religion any difficulty. The faith of your father Ibrahim; he named you submitters before and in this that the messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and pay Zakah (Alms) and be united with Allah. He is your Guardian and excellent is the guardian and excellent is the supporter.
