Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 1-20

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

الْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِم يَعْدِلُونَ (1)

Praise be to Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light; then those who have disbelieved equate with their Lord.
[Al Quran ; 6:1]

هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُم مِّن طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَى أَجَلاً وَأَجَلٌ مُّسمًّى عِندَهُ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ (2)

It is He Who created you from clay and then decreed a term; and the specified term is with Him, then you doubt.
[Al Quran ; 6:2]

وَهُوَ اللّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَفِي الأَرْضِ يَعْلَمُ سِرَّكُمْ وَجَهرَكُمْ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا تَكْسِبُونَ (3)

And He is Allah in the heavens and in the earth; He knows your secret and what you declare, and He knows what you earn.
[Al Quran ; 6:3]

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ آيَةٍ مِّنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلاَّ كَانُواْ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ (4)

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they used to be from it turning away.
[Al Quran ; 6:4]

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُواْ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاء مَا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ (5)

And they had already denied the truth when it came to them; so the news of what they used to ridicule should come to them.
[Al Quran ; 6:5]

أَلَمْ يَرَوْاْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّن قَرْنٍ مَّكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّكُمْ وَأَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَاء عَلَيْهِم مِّدْرَارًا وَجَعَلْنَا الأَنْهَارَ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهِمْ فَأَهْلَكْنَاهُم بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَأَنْشَأْنَا مِن بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْنًا آخَرِينَ (6)

Have they not seen how many generations We destroyed before them? We established them in the land as We have not established you. And We sent the sky upon them in showers and made rivers to flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their sins and We established after them other generations.
[Al Quran ; 6:6]

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ كِتَابًا فِي قِرْطَاسٍ فَلَمَسُوهُ بِأَيْدِيهِمْ لَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَذَا إِلاَّ سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ (7)

And if We had sent down to you a book on a paper and they touched it with their hands, those who have disbelieved would say: This is nothing but obvious magic.
[Al Quran ; 6:7]

وَقَالُواْ لَوْلا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِيَ الأمْرُ ثُمَّ لاَ يُنظَرُونَ (8)

And they said: Why was there not sent down to him an angel? And if We had sent down an angel, then the matter would have been decided and they would not be reprieved.
[Al Quran ; 6:8]

وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَاهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَاهُ رَجُلاً وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ (9)

And if We had made him an angel, We would have made him a man, and We would have confused them in that which they try to confuse.
[Al Quran ; 6:9]

وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُواْ مِنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ (10)

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, so those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.
[Al Quran ; 6:10]

قُلْ سِيرُواْ فِي الأَرْضِ ثُمَّ انظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ (11)

Say: Walk in the land and look how was the consequence for the deniers.
[Al Quran ; 6:11]

قُل لِّمَن مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ قُل لِلّهِ كَتَبَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لاَ رَيْبَ فِيهِ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ (12)

Say: To whom belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth? Say: To Allah. He has decreed upon Himself mercy. He will surely gather you for the day of resurrection, about which there is no doubt. Those who will lose their souls, they will not believe.
[Al Quran ; 6:12]

وَلَهُ مَا سَكَنَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (13)

And to Him belongs whatever rests in the night and the day. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:13]

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَتَّخِذُ وَلِيًّا فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلاَ يُطْعَمُ قُلْ إِنِّيَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكَينَ (14)

Say: Is it other than Allah I should take as a guardian, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, and He feeds (all) and He is not fed? Say: I am commanded to be the first who submit and not to be of the polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:14]

قُلْ إِنِّيَ أَخَافُ إِنْ عَصَيْتُ رَبِّي عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ (15)

Say: Indeed, I fear, if I disobey my Lord, the torture of a great day.
[Al Quran ; 6:15]

مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُ وَذَلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْمُبِينُ (16)

Whoever is averted from it on that day, then He has certainly granted him mercy; and that is the obvious attainment.
[Al Quran ; 6:16]

وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ اللّهُ بِضُرٍّ فَلاَ كَاشِفَ لَهُ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَإِن يَمْسَسْكَ بِخَيْرٍ فَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدُيرٌ (17)

And if Allah should touch you with harm, then there is no remover of it except Him. and if He should touch you with good, then He is over everything Capable.
[Al Quran ; 6:17]

وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ (18)

And He is the Subjugator over His servants; and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 6:18]

قُلْ أَيُّ شَيْءٍ أَكْبَرُ شَهَادةً قُلِ اللّهِ شَهِيدٌ بِيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَأُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ لأُنذِرَكُم بِهِ وَمَن بَلَغَ أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ مَعَ اللّهِ آلِهَةً أُخْرَى قُل لاَّ أَشْهَدُ قُلْ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَإِنَّنِي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ (19)

Say: What thing is greatest in testimony? Say: Allah is Witness between me and you; and this Quran was revealed to me to warn you thereby and whomever it reaches. Do you testify that with Allah there are other gods? Say: I do not testify. Say: Indeed, He is only one God; and indeed, I am innocent of what you associate (with Him).
[Al Quran ; 6:19]

الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءهُمُ الَّذِينَ خَسِرُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ (20)

Those to whom We have given the book recognize it as they recognize their sons. Those who will lose their souls, they will not believe.

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 21-40

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِهِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ (21)

And who is more unjust than one who forges against Allah lies or denies His signs? Indeed, the unjust will not succeed.
[Al Quran ; 6:21]

وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآؤُكُمُ الَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ (22)

And the day, We will gather them together, then We will say to those who associated others: Where are your associates that you used to allege?
[Al Quran ; 6:22]

ثُمَّ لَمْ تَكُن فِتْنَتُهُمْ إِلاَّ أَن قَالُواْ وَاللّهِ رَبِّنَا مَا كُنَّا مُشْرِكِينَ (23)

Then their contention will not be except that they will say: By Allah, our Lord, we were not polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:23]

انظُرْ كَيْفَ كَذَبُواْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ (24)

Look how they will lie about themselves. And lost from them is that which they used to forge.
[Al Quran ; 6:24]

وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُ إِلَيْكَ وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَى قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَن يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا وَإِن يَرَوْاْ كُلَّ آيَةٍ لاَّ يُؤْمِنُواْ بِهَا حَتَّى إِذَا جَآؤُوكَ يُجَادِلُونَكَ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ إِنْ هَذَآ إِلاَّ أَسَاطِيرُ الأَوَّلِينَ (25)

And among them are those who listen to you. And We have made over their hearts veils lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And if they should see every sign, they will not believe in it. Even when they come to you arguing with you; those who have disbelieved say: This is not except legends of the former (people).
[Al Quran ; 6:25]

وَهُمْ يَنْهَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَيَنْأَوْنَ عَنْهُ وَإِن يُهْلِكُونَ إِلاَّ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ (26)

And they prevent (others) from him and they are remote from him. And they only destroy themselves while they do not perceive.
[Al Quran ; 6:26]

وَلَوْ تَرَىَ إِذْ وُقِفُواْ عَلَى النَّارِ فَقَالُواْ يَا لَيْتَنَا نُرَدُّ وَلاَ نُكَذِّبَ بِآيَاتِ رَبِّنَا وَنَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ (27)

And if you could see when they are made to stand before the fire, and they will say: Oh, would that we could be returned and not deny the signs of our Lord and be among the believers.
[Al Quran ; 6:27]

بَلْ بَدَا لَهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يُخْفُونَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَوْ رُدُّواْ لَعَادُواْ لِمَا نُهُواْ عَنْهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ (28)

Rather, what they used to conceal before has appeared to them. And if they were returned, they would return to that from which they were forbidden; nd indeed they are liars.
[Al Quran ; 6:28]

وَقَالُواْ إِنْ هِيَ إِلاَّ حَيَاتُنَا الدُّنْيَا وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (29)

And they say: Indeed, it is not except our life of this world, and we will not be resurrected.
[Al Quran ; 6:29]

وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذْ وُقِفُواْ عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَذَا بِالْحَقِّ قَالُواْ بَلَى وَرَبِّنَا قَالَ فَذُوقُواْ العَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ (30)

And if you could see when they are made to stand before their Lord. He will say: Is this not the truth? They will say: Yes, by our Lord. He will say: Then taste the torture because you used to disbelieve.
[Al Quran ; 6:30]

قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِلِقَاء اللّهِ حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءتْهُمُ السَّاعَةُ بَغْتَةً قَالُواْ يَا حَسْرَتَنَا عَلَى مَا فَرَّطْنَا فِيهَا وَهُمْ يَحْمِلُونَ أَوْزَارَهُمْ عَلَى ظُهُورِهِمْ أَلاَ سَاء مَا يَزِرُونَ (31)

Those will have lost who deny the meeting of Allah, until when the hour comes upon them suddenly, they will say: Oh, our regret for what we have neglected about it (the hour) while they carry their sins on their backs. Unquestionably, evil is that which they carry.
[Al Quran ; 6:31]

وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلاَّ لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ وَلَلدَّارُ الآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِّلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ أَفَلاَ تَعْقِلُونَ (32)

And the life of this world is not except an amusement and diversion; and the home of the hereafter is best for those who fear. So will you not understand?
[Al Quran ; 6:32]

قَدْ نَعْلَمُ إِنَّهُ لَيَحْزُنُكَ الَّذِي يَقُولُونَ فَإِنَّهُمْ لاَ يُكَذِّبُونَكَ وَلَكِنَّ الظَّالِمِينَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ يَجْحَدُونَ (33)

We know that you are grieved by what they say. And indeed, they do not deny you, but it is the signs of Allah that the unjust reject.
[Al Quran ; 6:33]

وَلَقَدْ كُذِّبَتْ رُسُلٌ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَصَبَرُواْ عَلَى مَا كُذِّبُواْ وَأُوذُواْ حَتَّى أَتَاهُمْ نَصْرُنَا وَلاَ مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِ اللّهِ وَلَقدْ جَاءكَ مِن نَّبَإِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (34)

And certainly, messengers were denied before you, and they were patient over such denial, and they were harmed until Our victory came to them. And none can change the words of Allah. And there has certainly come to you some of the news of the (other) messengers.
[Al Quran ; 6:34]

وَإِن كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ إِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَإِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَن تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقًا فِي الأَرْضِ أَوْ سُلَّمًا فِي السَّمَاء فَتَأْتِيَهُم بِآيَةٍ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْهُدَى فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْجَاهِلِينَ (35)

And if their aversion has become difficult for you, then if you can seek a tunnel into the earth or a ladder to the sky to bring them a sign, (try so). And if Allah had willed, He would have gathered them upon guidance. So never be of the ignorant.
[Al Quran ; 6:35]

إِنَّمَا يَسْتَجِيبُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ وَالْمَوْتَى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللّهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ يُرْجَعُونَ (36)

Only those who respond are those who listen. And the dead, Allah will resurrect them, then to Him they will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 6:36]

وَقَالُواْ لَوْلاَ نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِ قُلْ إِنَّ اللّهَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَن يُنَزِّلٍ آيَةً وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ (37)

And they say: Why has a sign not been sent down to him from his Lord? Say: Indeed, Allah is Able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.
[Al Quran ; 6:37]

وَمَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ فِي الأَرْضِ وَلاَ طَائِرٍ يَطِيرُ بِجَنَاحَيْهِ إِلاَّ أُمَمٌ أَمْثَالُكُم مَّا فَرَّطْنَا فِي الكِتَابِ مِن شَيْءٍ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ يُحْشَرُونَ (38)

And there is no creature in the earth or a bird that flies with its two wings except (that they are) nations like you. We have not neglected in the book a thing. Moreover, to their Lord, they will be gathered.
[Al Quran ; 6:38]

وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا صُمٌّ وَبُكْمٌ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ مَن يَشَإِ اللّهُ يُضْلِلْهُ وَمَن يَشَأْ يَجْعَلْهُ عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (39)

And those who deny Our signs are deaf and mute in darkness. Whomever Allah wills, He misguides him; and whomever He wills, He makes him on a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 6:39]

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُكُم إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّهِ أَوْ أَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ تَدْعُونَ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (40)

Say: Have you considered if there came to you the torture of Allah or there came to you the hour, is it other than Allah you will call if you should be truthful?
[Al Quran ; 6:40]

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 41-60

بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِنْ شَاء وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ (41)

Rather it is Him Whom you should call, so He would remove that for which you call if He willed, and you would forget that which you associate (with Him).
[Al Quran ; 6:41]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلنَآ إِلَى أُمَمٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْبَأْسَاء وَالضَّرَّاء لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَضَرَّعُونَ (42)

And We have certainly sent (messengers) to nations before you then We seized them with hardship and tribulation that perhaps they might humble themselves.
[Al Quran ; 6:42]

فَلَوْلا إِذْ جَاءهُمْ بَأْسُنَا تَضَرَّعُواْ وَلَكِن قَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ (43)

And had they, when Our hardship came to they, humbled themselves, but their hearts became hardened and the devil decorated for them that which they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:43]

فَلَمَّا نَسُواْ مَا ذُكِّرُواْ بِهِ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَبْوَابَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى إِذَا فَرِحُواْ بِمَا أُوتُواْ أَخَذْنَاهُم بَغْتَةً فَإِذَا هُم مُّبْلِسُونَ (44)

So when they forgot that by which they were reminded, We opened upon them the doors of everything until, when they rejoiced in what they were given, We seized them suddenly, and at once they were confused.
[Al Quran ; 6:44]

فَقُطِعَ دَابِرُ الْقَوْمِ الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُواْ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (45)

So the the people who were unjust were eliminated. And praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 6:45]

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَخَذَ اللّهُ سَمْعَكُمْ وَأَبْصَارَكُمْ وَخَتَمَ عَلَى قُلُوبِكُم مَّنْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللّهِ يَأْتِيكُم بِهِ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ ثُمَّ هُمْ يَصْدِفُونَ (46)

Say: Have you considered, if Allah should take away your hearing and your visions and set upon your hearts a seal, which god other than Allah could bring them to you? Look how We explain the signs, then they turn away.
[Al Quran ; 6:46]

قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلاَّ الْقَوْمُ الظَّالِمُونَ (47)

Say: Have you considered, if the torture of Allah came to you suddenly or publicly, will anyone be destroyed except the unjust people?
[Al Quran ; 6:47]

وَمَا نُرْسِلُ الْمُرْسَلِينَ إِلاَّ مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ فَمَنْ آمَنَ وَأَصْلَحَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ

And We do not send the messengers except as givers of good tidings and warners. So whoever believes and amends, then no fear will be upon them nor will they grieve.
[Al Quran ; 6:48]

وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا يَمَسُّهُمُ الْعَذَابُ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْسُقُونَ (49)

And those who have rejected Our signs, torture will touch them because they used to disobey.
[Al Quran ; 6:49]

قُل لاَّ أَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِندِي خَزَآئِنُ اللّهِ وَلا أَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلا أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي مَلَكٌ إِنْ أَتَّبِعُ إِلاَّ مَا يُوحَى إِلَيَّ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الأَعْمَى وَالْبَصِيرُ أَفَلاَ تَتَفَكَّرُونَ (50)

Say: I do not say to you that I have the treasures of Allah, and I do not know the unseen, and I do not say to you that I am an angel. I only follow that which is revealed to me. Say: Is the blind equivalent to the seeing? Will you not then think?
[Al Quran ; 6:50]

وَأَنذِرْ بِهِ الَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ أَن يُحْشَرُواْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ لَيْسَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلاَ شَفِيعٌ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ (51)

And warn with it (the Quran) those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord. For them, other than Him, will be no guardian and no intercessor, that they might fear.
[Al Quran ; 6:51]

وَلاَ تَطْرُدِ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ مَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَمَا مِنْ حِسَابِكَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ فَتَطْرُدَهُمْ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (52)

And do not expel those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, seeking His face. Not upon you is their reckoning of anything neither your reckoning is upon them. So were you to expel them, you would be of the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 6:52]

وَكَذَلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُم بِبَعْضٍ لِّيَقُولواْ أَهَؤُلاء مَنَّ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّن بَيْنِنَا أَلَيْسَ اللّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِينَ (53)

And thus have We tried some of them by others that they might say: Is it these upon whom Allah has favoured from among us? Is not Allah most Knowing of those who are grateful?
[Al Quran ; 6:53]

وَإِذَا جَاءكَ الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِنَا فَقُلْ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكُمْ كَتَبَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَ أَنَّهُ مَن عَمِلَ مِنكُمْ سُوءًا بِجَهَالَةٍ ثُمَّ تَابَ مِن بَعْدِهِ وَأَصْلَحَ فَأَنَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ (54)

And when those who believe in Our signs come to you, say: Peace be upon you, your Lord has decreed upon Himself mercy, that any of you who has done evil in ignorance then repented after that and amended, then indeed, He is Forgiving, Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 6:54]

وَكَذَلِكَ نفَصِّلُ الآيَاتِ وَلِتَسْتَبِينَ سَبِيلُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ (55)

And thus do We explain the signs; and the way of the criminals will become evident.
[Al Quran ; 6:55]

قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ قُل لاَّ أَتَّبِعُ أَهْوَاءكُمْ قَدْ ضَلَلْتُ إِذًا وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُهْتَدِينَ (56)

Say: Indeed, I have been prohibited to worship those you call other than Allah. Say: I do not follow your desires, for then I would have strayed, and I would not be of the guided.
[Al Quran ; 6:56]

قُلْ إِنِّي عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّي وَكَذَّبْتُم بِهِ مَا عِندِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلاَّ لِلّهِ يَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِلِينَ (57)

Say: Indeed, I am on clear proof from my Lord and you have denied it; I do not have that which you are hastening. The judgment is only for Allah, He tells the truth, and He is the best of deciders.
[Al Quran ; 6:57]

قُل لَّوْ أَنَّ عِندِي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِهِ لَقُضِيَ الأَمْرُ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَاللّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِمِينَ (58)

Say: If I have that which you are hastening, the matter would have been decided between me and you. And Allah is most Knowing of the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 6:58]

وَعِندَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لاَ يَعْلَمُهَا إِلاَّ هُوَ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِن وَرَقَةٍ إِلاَّ يَعْلَمُهَا وَلاَ حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الأَرْضِ وَلاَ رَطْبٍ وَلاَ يَابِسٍ إِلاَّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ (59)

And with Him are the keys of the unseen. None knows them except Him, and He knows what is in the land and the sea. And not a leaf falls except He knows it; and no grain is within the darkness of the earth and no moist and no dry land except that it is in a clear book.
[Al Quran ; 6:59]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُم بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَى أَجَلٌ مُّسَمًّى ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (60)

And it is He Who causes you to sleep at night and knows what you acquire in the day, then He sends you therein that a specified term is fulfilled. Then to Him will be your return, then He will inform you of what you used to do.

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 61-80

وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُم حَفَظَةً حَتَّىَ إِذَا جَاء أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لاَ يُفَرِّطُونَ (61)

And He is the Subjugator over His servants. And He sends over you keepers until, when death comes to one of you, Our messengers (angels) cause him to die, and they neglect not.
[Al Quran ; 6:61]

ثُمَّ رُدُّواْ إِلَى اللّهِ مَوْلاَهُمُ الْحَقِّ أَلاَ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ (62)

Then they will be returned to Allah, their true Guardian. Unquestionably, to Him belongs judgment, and He is the swiftest of reckoners.
[Al Quran ; 6:62]

قُلْ مَن يُنَجِّيكُم مِّن ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُ تَضَرُّعاً وَخُفْيَةً لَّئِنْ أَنجَانَا مِنْ هَذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ (63)

Say: Who saves you from the darkness of the land and the sea; you call upon Him humbly and in secret (saying): If He saves us from this; we will surely be among the grateful.
[Al Quran ; 6:63]

قُلِ اللّهُ يُنَجِّيكُم مِّنْهَا وَمِن كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ (64)

Say: Allah saves you from it and from every disaster; then you associate.
[Al Quran ; 6:64]

قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَن يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّن فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِن تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعاً وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُم بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ (65)

Say: He the Able to send upon you torture from above you or from beneath your legs, or that He might confuse you into sects; and make some of you taste the strength of others. Look how We explain the signs that they might understand.
[Al Quran ; 6:65]

وَكَذَّبَ بِهِ قَوْمُكَ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ قُل لَّسْتُ عَلَيْكُم بِوَكِيلٍ (66)

And your people have denied it while it is the truth. Say: I am not over you a trustee.
[Al Quran ; 6:66]

لِّكُلِّ نَبَإٍ مُّسْتَقَرٌّ وَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ (67)

For every news is a settlement. And you are going to know.
[Al Quran ; 6:67]

وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ الَّذِينَ يَخُوضُونَ فِي آيَاتِنَا فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّى يَخُوضُواْ فِي حَدِيثٍ غَيْرِهِ وَإِمَّا يُنسِيَنَّكَ الشَّيْطَانُ فَلاَ تَقْعُدْ بَعْدَ الذِّكْرَى مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ (68)

And when you see those who engage in ridiculing Our signs, turn away from them until they engage into some other saying. And if the devil causes you to forget, then do not sit after the reminder with the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 6:68]

وَمَا عَلَى الَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ مِنْ حِسَابِهِم مِّن شَيْءٍ وَلَكِن ذِكْرَى لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ (69)

And not upon those who fear is their reckoning, but a reminder that perhaps they fear.
[Al Quran ; 6:69]

وَذَرِ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُواْ دِينَهُمْ لَعِبًا وَلَهْوًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَذَكِّرْ بِهِ أَن تُبْسَلَ نَفْسٌ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ لَيْسَ لَهَا مِن دُونِ اللّهِ وَلِيٌّ وَلاَ شَفِيعٌ وَإِن تَعْدِلْ كُلَّ عَدْلٍ لاَّ يُؤْخَذْ مِنْهَا أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ أُبْسِلُواْ بِمَا كَسَبُواْ لَهُمْ شَرَابٌ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍ وَعَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْفُرُونَ (70)

And leave those who have taken their religion as amusement and diversion, and whom the life of this world has deceived. And remind with it (the Quran) lest a soul should be given up to destruction for what it earned; it will not have other than Allah a guardian nor an intercessor. And if it compensates (itself) with every compensation, it will not be taken from it. Those are the ones who will be given up to destruction for what they earned; for them will be a drink of boiling liquid and a painful torture because they used to disbelieve.
[Al Quran ; 6:70]

قُلْ أَنَدْعُو مِن دُونِ اللّهِ مَا لاَ يَنفَعُنَا وَلاَ يَضُرُّنَا وَنُرَدُّ عَلَى أَعْقَابِنَا بَعْدَ إِذْ هَدَانَا اللّهُ كَالَّذِي اسْتَهْوَتْهُ الشَّيَاطِينُ فِي الأَرْضِ حَيْرَانَ لَهُ أَصْحَابٌ يَدْعُونَهُ إِلَى الْهُدَى ائْتِنَا قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَىَ وَأُمِرْنَا لِنُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (71)

Say: Shall we call upon other than Allah those which do not benefit us nor harm us and be returned back on our heels after Allah has guided us? It is like one whom the devils have enticed in the land wandering; he has companions who call him to guidance, (saying): Come to us. Say: Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the guidance, and we are commanded to submit to the Lord of the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 6:71]

وَأَنْ أَقِيمُواْ الصَّلاةَ وَاتَّقُوهُ وَهُوَ الَّذِيَ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ (72)

And establish the prayer and fear Him. And it is He to Whom you will be gathered.
[Al Quran ; 6:72]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ وَيَوْمَ يَقُولُ كُن فَيَكُونُ قَوْلُهُ الْحَقُّ وَلَهُ الْمُلْكُ يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّوَرِ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ وَهُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْخَبِيرُ (73)

And it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth in truth. And the day when He says: Be, and it is. His saying is the truth, and to Whom belongs the kingdom the day when the trumpet will be blown. The Knowing of the unseen and testimony, and He is the Wise, the Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 6:73]

وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لأَبِيهِ آزَرَ أَتَتَّخِذُ أَصْنَامًا آلِهَةً إِنِّي أَرَاكَ وَقَوْمَكَ فِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍ (74)

And when Ibrahim said to his father Azar: Do you take statues as gods? Indeed, I see you and your people in obvious misguidance.
[Al Quran ; 6:74]

وَكَذَلِكَ نُرِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَلَكُوتَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَلِيَكُونَ مِنَ الْمُوقِنِينَ (75)

And thus did We show Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and that he might be among the asserted.
[Al Quran ; 6:75]

فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَى كَوْكَبًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لا أُحِبُّ الآفِلِينَ (76)

And when the night covered him, he saw a planet. He said: This is my lord. But when it set, he said: I do not like those that set.
[Al Quran ; 6:76]

فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِن لَّمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لأكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ (77)

And when he saw the moon rising, he said: This is my lord. But when it set, he said: If my Lord does not guide me, I would certainly be among the misguided people.
[Al Quran ; 6:77]

فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَذَا رَبِّي هَذَآ أَكْبَرُ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِّمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ (78)

And when he saw the sun rising, he said: This is my lord; this is the greater. But when it set, he said: O my people! Indeed, I am innocent of that which you associate.
[Al Quran ; 6:78]

إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَاْ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ (79)

Indeed, I have turned my face toward the One Who originated the heavens and the earth, and I am not among the polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:79]

وَحَآجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ قَالَ أَتُحَاجُّونِّي فِي اللّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانِ وَلاَ أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاء رَبِّي شَيْئًا وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا أَفَلاَ تَتَذَكَّرُونَ (80)

And his people argued with him. He said: Do you argue with me about Allah and He has already guided me? And I do not fear what you associate with Him unless my Lord wills something. My Lord encompasses everything in knowledge; will you not then remember?
[Al Quran ; 6:80]

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 81-100

وَكَيْفَ أَخَافُ مَا أَشْرَكْتُمْ وَلاَ تَخَافُونَ أَنَّكُمْ أَشْرَكْتُم بِاللّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا فَأَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ أَحَقُّ بِالأَمْنِ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (81)

And how should I fear what you have associated, while you do not fear that you have associated (others) with Allah for which He has not sent down upon you any authority? So which of the two teams has more right to security, if you should know?
[Al Quran ; 6:81]

الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ وَلَمْ يَلْبِسُواْ إِيمَانَهُم بِظُلْمٍ أُوْلَئِكَ لَهُمُ الأَمْنُ وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ (82)

Those who have believed and did not mix their belief with injustice, for them will be security, and they are guided.
[Al Quran ; 6:82]

وَتِلْكَ حُجَّتُنَا آتَيْنَاهَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ نَرْفَعُ دَرَجَاتٍ مَّن نَّشَاء إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ (83)

And that was Our argument which we gave to Ibrahim against his people; We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise, Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:83]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ كُلاًّ هَدَيْنَا وَنُوحًا هَدَيْنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِ دَاوُودَ وَسُلَيْمَانَ وَأَيُّوبَ وَيُوسُفَ وَمُوسَى وَهَارُونَ وَكَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ (84)

And We gave to him Ishaq and Yaqoub; We guided all of them. And Nuh whom We guided before. And among his descendants are Dawood and Sulaiman and Ayub and Yusuf and Haroun. And thus do We reward those who do good.
[Al Quran ; 6:84]

وَزَكَرِيَّا وَيَحْيَى وَعِيسَى وَإِلْيَاسَ كُلٌّ مِّنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (85)

And Zakariyah and Yahya and Isa and Elias; all of them are among the righteous.
[Al Quran ; 6:85]

وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَيُونُسَ وَلُوطًا وَكُلاًّ فضَّلْنَا عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ (86)

And Ismail and Al-Yasha and Yunus and Lut; and We preferred all of them over the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 6:86]

وَمِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَإِخْوَانِهِمْ وَاجْتَبَيْنَاهُمْ وَهَدَيْنَاهُمْ إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ (87)

And from among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers; and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path.
[Al Quran ; 6:87]

ذَلِكَ هُدَى اللّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَن يَشَاء مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَلَوْ أَشْرَكُواْ لَحَبِطَ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ (88)

That is the guidance of Allah, He guides thereby whom He wills of His slaves. And if they had associated (others with Him), then nullified for them what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:88]

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَؤُلاء فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُواْ بِهَا بِكَافِرِينَ (89)

Those are the ones to whom We gave the book and judgment and prophethood; so if they disbelieve in it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 6:89]

أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ هَدَى اللّهُ فَبِهُدَاهُمُ اقْتَدِهْ قُل لاَّ أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ أَجْرًا إِنْ هُوَ إِلاَّ ذِكْرَى لِلْعَالَمِينَ (90)

Those are the ones whom Allah guided; so from their guidance take an example. Say: I do not ask you for it any reward. It is only a reminder to those who know.
[Al Quran ; 6:90]

وَمَا قَدَرُواْ اللّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ إِذْ قَالُواْ مَا أَنزَلَ اللّهُ عَلَى بَشَرٍ مِّن شَيْءٍ قُلْ مَنْ أَنزَلَ الْكِتَابَ الَّذِي جَاء بِهِ مُوسَى نُورًا وَهُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُونَهُ قَرَاطِيسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَثِيرًا وَعُلِّمْتُم مَّا لَمْ تَعْلَمُواْ أَنتُمْ وَلاَ آبَاؤُكُمْ قُلِ اللّهُ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ فِي خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ (91)

And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal when they have said: Allah has not sent down to a human being anything. Say: Who sent down the book by which Musa brought light and guidance to the people? You make it into papers, disclosing while concealing much. And you were taught that which you did not know, neither you nor your fathers. Say: Allah. Then leave them in their discourse playing.
[Al Quran ; 6:91]

وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ مُّصَدِّقُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ وَلِتُنذِرَ أُمَّ الْقُرَى وَمَنْ حَوْلَهَا وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ وَهُمْ عَلَى صَلاَتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ (92)

And this is a book which We have sent down, blessed and verifying that which was before it, and that you may warn the mother of the villages and those around it. And those who believe in the hereafter believe in it, and they are concerning their prayer maintaining.
[Al Quran ; 6:92]

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَن قَالَ سَأُنزِلُ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَزلَ اللّهُ وَلَوْ تَرَى إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلآئِكَةُ بَاسِطُواْ أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُواْ أَنفُسَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنتُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (93)

And who is more unjust than one who forges about Allah lies or says: It has been revealed to me. while nothing has been revealed to him, and the one who says: I can bring down the like of what Allah has sent down? And if you could see when the unjust will be in the agonies of death while the angels spreading their hands (saying): Discharge your souls. Today you will be rewarded with a humiliating torture because of what you used to say about Allah other than the truth while you were concerning His signs arrogant.
[Al Quran ; 6:93]

وَلَقَدْ جِئْتُمُونَا فُرَادَى كَمَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَتَرَكْتُم مَّا خَوَّلْنَاكُمْ وَرَاء ظُهُورِكُمْ وَمَا نَرَى مَعَكُمْ شُفَعَاءكُمُ الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ أَنَّهُمْ فِيكُمْ شُرَكَاء لَقَد تَّقَطَّعَ بَيْنَكُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنكُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَزْعُمُونَ (94)

And you have certainly come to Us alone as We created you first time, and you have left what We bestowed upon you behind your backs. And We do not see with you your intercessors whom you alleged that they were associates within you. It has certainly been severed between you, and lost from you is what you used to allege.
[Al Quran ; 6:94]

إِنَّ اللّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ذَلِكُمُ اللّهُ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ (95)

Indeed, Allah is the Cleaver of grains and seeds. He extracts the living from the dead, and He is the One who extracts the dead from the living. That is Allah, so how are you deluded?
[Al Quran ; 6:95]

فَالِقُ الإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ذَلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (96)

(He is) the Cleaver of the daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and the moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Mighty, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:96]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُواْ بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (97)

And it is He Who has made for you the stars that you might be guided thereby in the darkness of land and sea. We have explained the signs for a people who know.
[Al Quran ; 6:97]

وَهُوَ الَّذِيَ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ (98)

And it is He Who has produced you from a single soul, then (gave you) a place of settlement and place of a storage. We have explained the signs for a people who understand.
[Al Quran ; 6:98]

وَهُوَ الَّذِيَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِرًا نُّخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَبًّا مُّتَرَاكِبًا وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِن طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّاتٍ مِّنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ انظُرُواْ إِلِى ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِهِ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكُمْ لآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (99)

And it is He Who sends down from the sky water, then We produce thereby the plants of everything, then We produce from it green leaf from which We produce grain piled up. And from the palm trees and of its sheaths come forth clusters of dates hanging low. And gardens of grapes and olives and pomegranates, similar and varied; look at its produce when it yields and ripens. Indeed, in there are signs for a people who believe.
[Al Quran ; 6:99]

وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ شُرَكَاء الْجِنَّ وَخَلَقَهُمْ وَخَرَقُواْ لَهُ بَنِينَ وَبَنَاتٍ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ (100)

And they make to Allah associates, (from among) the jinn, while He has created them. And they attribute to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glory be to Him, and exalted is He above what they describe.

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 101-120

بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُن لَّهُ صَاحِبَةٌ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ وهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (101)

The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a child when He has no female companion and He created everything? And He is, of everything, Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:101]

ذَلِكُمُ اللّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ (102)

That is Allah, your Lord, there is no god except Him; the Creator of everything, so worship Him. And He is over everything Trustee.
[Al Quran ; 6:102]

لاَّ تُدْرِكُهُ الأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الأَبْصَارَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ (103)

Visions perceive Him not, and He perceives all visions; and He is the Subtle, the Acquainted.
[Al Quran ; 6:103]

قَدْ جَاءكُم بَصَآئِرُ مِن رَّبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ أَبْصَرَ فَلِنَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ عَمِيَ فَعَلَيْهَا وَمَا أَنَاْ عَلَيْكُم بِحَفِيظٍ (104)

There have come to you visions from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for his soul. And whoever will be blind, then it should be against it (his soul); and I am not over you keeper.
[Al Quran ; 6:104]

وَكَذَلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الآيَاتِ وَلِيَقُولُواْ دَرَسْتَ وَلِنُبَيِّنَهُ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (105)

And thus do We explain the signs so they may say: You have studied. And We will explain it (the Quran) to people who know.
[Al Quran ; 6:105]

اتَّبِعْ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ لا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ وَأَعْرِضْ عَنِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ (106)

Follow what is revealed to you from your Lord; there is no god except Him. And turn away from the polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:106]

وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ مَا أَشْرَكُواْ وَمَا جَعَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا وَمَا أَنتَ عَلَيْهِم بِوَكِيلٍ (107)

And if Allah had willed, they would not have associated (others with Him). And We have not made you over them keeper; and you are not over them trustee.
[Al Quran ; 6:107]

وَلاَ تَسُبُّواْ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللّهِ فَيَسُبُّواْ اللّهَ عَدْوًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ كَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَّا لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ عَمَلَهُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّهِم مَّرْجِعُهُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ (108)

And do not insult those who call upon other than Allah, lest they insult Allah without knowledge. Thus have We decorated for every nation their deeds. Moreover, to their Lord will be their return, and He will inform them of what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:108]

وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِاللّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِن جَاءتْهُمْ آيَةٌ لَّيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا الآيَاتُ عِندَ اللّهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْ أَنَّهَا إِذَا جَاءتْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ (109)

And they swear by Allah their strongest oaths, that if a sign comes to them, they would surely believe in it. Say: The signs are only with Allah. And what will make you perceive that even if it has come, they will not believe?
[Al Quran ; 6:109]

وَنُقَلِّبُ أَفْئِدَتَهُمْ وَأَبْصَارَهُمْ كَمَا لَمْ يُؤْمِنُواْ بِهِ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَنَذَرُهُمْ فِي طُغْيَانِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ (110)

And We will turn their hearts and their visions just as they did not believe in it the first time. And We will leave them, in their transgression, wandering blindly.
[Al Quran ; 6:110]

وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلآئِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَى وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلاً مَّا كَانُواْ لِيُؤْمِنُواْ إِلاَّ أَن يَشَاء اللّهُ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ (111)

And even if We had sent down to them the angels and the dead had spoken to them and We gathered before them everything in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah wills. But most of them are ignorant.
[Al Quran ; 6:111]

وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نِبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا شَيَاطِينَ الإِنسِ وَالْجِنِّ يُوحِي بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَى بَعْضٍ زُخْرُفَ الْقَوْلِ غُرُورًا وَلَوْ شَاء رَبُّكَ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ (112)

And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, devils from among mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorated speech in delusions. And had your Lord willed, they would not have done it; so leave them and that which they forge.
[Al Quran ; 6:112]

وَلِتَصْغَى إِلَيْهِ أَفْئِدَةُ الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ وَلِيَرْضَوْهُ وَلِيَقْتَرِفُواْ مَا هُم مُّقْتَرِفُونَ (113)

And so that the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter may listen to it and be satisfied with it and so that they commit that which they are committing.
[Al Quran ; 6:113]

أَفَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنَزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلاً وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ (114)

Is it other than Allah I should seek a judge while it is He Who has sent down to you the book explained? And those whom We have given the book know that it is sent down by your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters.
[Al Quran ; 6:114]

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلاً لاَّ مُبَدِّلِ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (115)

And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. There is no changer for His words; and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:115]

وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللّهِ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلاَّ يَخْرُصُونَ (116)

And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will misguide you from way of Allah. Indeed, they only follow conjecture, and indeed, they are only mute.
[Al Quran ; 6:116]

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ مَن يَضِلُّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ (117)

Indeed, your Lord is He Who is most Knowing of who strays from His way, and He is most Knowing of the guided.
[Al Quran ; 6:117]

فَكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كُنتُمْ بِآيَاتِهِ مُؤْمِنِينَ (118)

So eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned if you are in His signs believers.
[Al Quran ; 6:118]

وَمَا لَكُمْ أَلاَّ تَأْكُلُواْ مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُم مَّا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلاَّ مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ إِلَيْهِ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا لَّيُضِلُّونَ بِأَهْوَائِهِم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَدِينَ (119)

And why should you not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has been mentioned while He has explained to you what He has prohibited upon you except that for which you are compelled? And indeed, many would misguide through their desires without knowledge. Indeed, your Lord is He Who is most Knowing of the transgressors.
[Al Quran ; 6:119]

وَذَرُواْ ظَاهِرَ الإِثْمِ وَبَاطِنَهُ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَكْسِبُونَ الإِثْمَ سَيُجْزَوْنَ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَقْتَرِفُونَ (120)

And leave what is apparent of sin and what is concealed of it; indeed, those who earn sin will be rewarded for that which they used to commit.

Verses 121-140

وَلاَ تَأْكُلُواْ مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَى أَوْلِيَآئِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ (121)

And do not eat of that upon which the name of Allah has not been mentioned, for indeed, it is disobedience. And indeed, the devils inspire their guardians to dispute with you, and if you obey them, then indeed, you are polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:121]

أَوَ مَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا كَذَلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ (122)

Is one who was dead and We gave him live and made for him light by which he walks among the people like one in darkness, never to emerge therefore? Thus it has been decorated to the unbelievers that which they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:122]

وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا فِي كُلِّ قَرْيَةٍ أَكَابِرَ مُجَرِمِيهَا لِيَمْكُرُواْ فِيهَا وَمَا يَمْكُرُونَ إِلاَّ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ (123)

And thus have We made in every village the greatest of its criminals to plan therein, but they do not plan except against themselves while they do not perceive.
[Al Quran ; 6:123]

وَإِذَا جَاءتْهُمْ آيَةٌ قَالُواْ لَن نُّؤْمِنَ حَتَّى نُؤْتَى مِثْلَ مَا أُوتِيَ رُسُلُ اللّهِ اللّهُ أَعْلَمُ حَيْثُ يَجْعَلُ رِسَالَتَهُ سَيُصِيبُ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُواْ صَغَارٌ عِندَ اللّهِ وَعَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَمْكُرُونَ (124)

And when a sign comes to them, they say: We will not believe until we are given the like of what was given to the messengers of Allah. Allah is most Knowing where He places His message. There will strike those who committed crimes humiliation from Allah and severe torture because of what they used to plan.
[Al Quran ; 6:124]

فَمَن يُرِدِ اللّهُ أَن يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلإِسْلاَمِ وَمَن يُرِدْ أَن يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاء كَذَلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللّهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ (125)

And whoever Allah wants to guide, He expands his chest to Islam and whoever He wants to misguide, He makes his chest tight and constricted as though he is ascending in the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe.
[Al Quran ; 6:125]

وَهَذَا صِرَاطُ رَبِّكَ مُسْتَقِيمًا قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَذَّكَّرُونَ (126)

And this is the path of your Lord, straight. We have explained the signs for people who remember.
[Al Quran ; 6:126]

لَهُمْ دَارُ السَّلاَمِ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَهُوَ وَلِيُّهُمْ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَعْمَلُونَ (127)

For them will be the home of peace with their Lord. And He is their guardian because of what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:127]

وَيَوْمَ يِحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُم مِّنَ الإِنسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَآؤُهُم مِّنَ الإِنسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِيَ أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا إِلاَّ مَا شَاء اللّهُ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَليمٌ (128)

And on the day when He will gather them together: O company of jinn! You misled many of mankind. And their guardians from among mankind will say: Our Lord! We have enjoyed one another and we have reached our term which You have postponed for us. He will say: The fire is your residence, abiding therein except for what Allah wills. Indeed, your Lord is Wise, Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:128]

وَكَذَلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُواْ يَكْسِبُونَ (129)

And thus will We make some of the unjust guardians of others for what they used to earn.
[Al Quran ; 6:129]

يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ رُسُلٌ مِّنكُمْ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيْكُمْ آيَاتِي وَيُنذِرُونَكُمْ لِقَاء يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا قَالُواْ شَهِدْنَا عَلَى أَنفُسِنَا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَى أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُواْ كَافِرِينَ (130)

O company of jinn and mankind! Did there not come to you messengers from among you, recounting to you My signs while warning you of the meeting of this day of yours? They will say: We testify against ourselves. And the life of this world deceived them, and they will testify against themselves that they were unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 6:130]

ذَلِكَ أَن لَّمْ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهْلِكَ الْقُرَى بِظُلْمٍ وَأَهْلُهَا غَافِلُونَ (131)

That is because your Lord would not destroy the villages for injustice while their people were unaware.
[Al Quran ; 6:131]

وَلِكُلٍّ دَرَجَاتٌ مِّمَّا عَمِلُواْ وَمَا رَبُّكَ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ (132)

And for all, there will be degrees from what they have done. And your Lord is not unaware of what they do.
[Al Quran ; 6:132]

وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُو الرَّحْمَةِ إِن يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِن بَعْدِكُم مَّا يَشَاء كَمَآ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ آخَرِينَ (133)

And your Lord is the Rich, the Possessor of mercy. If He wills, He may make you go away and make whom He wills successors after you, just as He brought you from the descendents of another people.
[Al Quran ; 6:133]

إِنَّ مَا تُوعَدُونَ لآتٍ وَمَا أَنتُم بِمُعْجِزِينَ (134)

Indeed, what you are promised is coming, and you are not going to cause failure.
[Al Quran ; 6:134]

قُلْ يَا قَوْمِ اعْمَلُواْ عَلَى مَكَانَتِكُمْ إِنِّي عَامِلٌ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ مَن تَكُونُ لَهُ عَاقِبَةُ الدِّارِ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُفْلِحُ الظَّالِمُونَ (135)

Say: O my people! Work according to your positions; indeed, I am working; and you are going to know for whom will be consequence of the home (the garden). Indeed, the unjust will never succeed.
[Al Quran ; 6:135]

وَجَعَلُواْ لِلّهِ مِمِّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالأَنْعَامِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُواْ هَذَا لِلّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَذَا لِشُرَكَآئِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ فَلاَ يَصِلُ إِلَى اللّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَآئِهِمْ سَاء مَا يَحْكُمُونَ (136)

And they made to Allah out of what He has created of the tilth and the cattle a portion, and they say: This is for Allah -so their allegation- and this for our associates; then what is for their associates, it reaches not to Allah, and whatever is for Allah, it reaches to their associates; evil is that which they judge.
[Al Quran ; 6:136]

وَكَذَلِكَ زَيَّنَ لِكَثِيرٍ مِّنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ قَتْلَ أَوْلاَدِهِمْ شُرَكَآؤُهُمْ لِيُرْدُوهُمْ وَلِيَلْبِسُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ دِينَهُمْ وَلَوْ شَاء اللّهُ مَا فَعَلُوهُ فَذَرْهُمْ وَمَا يَفْتَرُونَ (137)

And thus have their associates decorated for most of the polytheists killing their children to make them to turn back and confuse for them their religion. And if Allah had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they forge.
[Al Quran ; 6:137]

وَقَالُواْ هَذِهِ أَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌ لاَّ يَطْعَمُهَا إِلاَّ مَن نّشَاء بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَأَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَأَنْعَامٌ لاَّ يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللّهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَاء عَلَيْهِ سَيَجْزِيهِم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْتَرُونَ (138)

And they say: These are cattle and tilth that is prohibited; no one may eat from them except whom we please, by their allegation. And cattle whose backs are prohibited (by them) and cattle upon which they did not mention the name of Allah; committing forgery against Him. He will reward them for what they used to forge.
[Al Quran ; 6:138]

وَقَالُواْ مَا فِي بُطُونِ هَذِهِ الأَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِّذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِنَا وَإِن يَكُن مَّيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَاء سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ إِنَّهُ حِكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ (139)

And they say: What is in the bellies of these cattle is exclusive for our males and prohibited to our wives. But if it is (born) dead, they are sharers therein. He will reward them for their description; indeed, He is Wise, Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 6:139]

قَدْ خَسِرَ الَّذِينَ قَتَلُواْ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ سَفَهًا بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَحَرَّمُواْ مَا رَزَقَهُمُ اللّهُ افْتِرَاء عَلَى اللّهِ قَدْ ضَلُّواْ وَمَا كَانُواْ مُهْتَدِينَ (140)

Those will have lost who killed their children foolishly without knowledge, and prohibited what Allah has provided for them; committing forgery against Allah. Indeed, they have strayed and were not guided.

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 141-160

وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَ جَنَّاتٍ مَّعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفًا أُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهًا وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍ كُلُواْ مِن ثَمَرِهِ إِذَا أَثْمَرَ وَآتُواْ حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِهِ وَلاَ تُسْرِفُواْ إِنَّهُ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ (141)

And it is He Who established trellised gardens and untrellised (gardens) and palm trees and plants of different food, and olives and pomegranates, similar and dissimilar. Eat of its produce when it yields, and give its due on its harvest day. And do not act extravagantly; indeed, He does not love the extravagant.
[Al Quran ; 6:141]

وَمِنَ الأَنْعَامِ حَمُولَةً وَفَرْشًا كُلُواْ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ اللّهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِ إِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ (142)

And of the cattle are carriers and covering. Eat of what Allah has provided for you and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; indeed he is to you a clear enemy.
[Al Quran ; 6:142]

ثَمَانِيَةَ أَزْوَاجٍ مِّنَ الضَّأْنِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْمَعْزِ اثْنَيْنِ قُلْ آلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الأُنثَيَيْنِ نَبِّؤُونِي بِعِلْمٍ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (143)

Eight pairs, of the lamb, two; and of the goats, two. Say: Is it the two males He has prohibited or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Inform me with knowledge if you should be truthful.
[Al Quran ; 6:143]

وَمِنَ الإِبْلِ اثْنَيْنِ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ اثْنَيْنِ قُلْ آلذَّكَرَيْنِ حَرَّمَ أَمِ الأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمَّا اشْتَمَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ أَرْحَامُ الأُنثَيَيْنِ أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَاء إِذْ وَصَّاكُمُ اللّهُ بِهَذَا فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَى عَلَى اللّهِ كَذِبًا لِيُضِلَّ النَّاسَ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ إِنَّ اللّهَ لاَ يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ (144)

And of the camels, two, and of the cows, two. Say: Is it the two males He has prohibited or the two females or that which the wombs of the two females contain? Or were you witnesses when Allah enjoined you with this? So who is more unjust than one who forges against Allah lies to mislead the people without knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the unjust people.
[Al Quran ; 6:144]

قُل لاَّ أَجِدُ فِي مَا أُوْحِيَ إِلَيَّ مُحَرَّمًا عَلَى طَاعِمٍ يَطْعَمُهُ إِلاَّ أَن يَكُونَ مَيْتَةً أَوْ دَمًا مَّسْفُوحًا أَوْ لَحْمَ خِنزِيرٍ فَإِنَّهُ رِجْسٌ أَوْ فِسْقًا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّهِ بِهِ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلاَ عَادٍ فَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ (145)

Say: I do not find in that which has been revealed to me prohibited to one who would eat except it be dead, or blood spilled out, or the flesh of swine; for indeed, it is defilement or disobedience dedicated to other than Allah. But whoever is forced while neither desiring nor transgressing, then indeed, your Lord is Forgiving, Merciful.
[Al Quran ; 6:145]

وَعَلَى الَّذِينَ هَادُواْ حَرَّمْنَا كُلَّ ذِي ظُفُرٍ وَمِنَ الْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ شُحُومَهُمَا إِلاَّ مَا حَمَلَتْ ظُهُورُهُمَا أَوِ الْحَوَايَا أَوْ مَا اخْتَلَطَ بِعَظْمٍ ذَلِكَ جَزَيْنَاهُم بِبَغْيِهِمْ وِإِنَّا لَصَادِقُونَ (146)

And to those who are Jews We prohibited every animal of claw. And of the cows and the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what is carried on their backs or the entrails or what is mixed with bones. That was how We rewarded them for their transgression. And indeed, We are Truthful.
[Al Quran ; 6:146]

فَإِن كَذَّبُوكَ فَقُل رَّبُّكُمْ ذُو رَحْمَةٍ وَاسِعَةٍ وَلاَ يُرَدُّ بَأْسُهُ عَنِ الْقَوْمِ الْمُجْرِمِينَ (147)

And if they deny you, then say: Your Lord is the Possessor of vast mercy; but His wrath cannot be repelled from the criminal people.
[Al Quran ; 6:147]

سَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُواْ لَوْ شَاء اللّهُ مَا أَشْرَكْنَا وَلاَ آبَاؤُنَا وَلاَ حَرَّمْنَا مِن شَيْءٍ كَذَلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِم حَتَّى ذَاقُواْ بَأْسَنَا قُلْ هَلْ عِندَكُم مِّنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَا إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلاَّ الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ أَنتُمْ إَلاَّ تَخْرُصُونَ (148)

Those who have associated (others) will say: If Allah had willed we would not have associated and neither would our fathers, nor would we have prohibited anything. Likewise did those before them deny until they tasted Our wrath. Say: Do you have any knowledge that you can bring it to us? Indeed, you only follow conjectures, and you are only mute.
[Al Quran ; 6:148]

قُلْ فَلِلّهِ الْحُجَّةُ الْبَالِغَةُ فَلَوْ شَاء لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (149)

Say: With Allah is the conclusive argument; and if He had willed, He would have guided you all.
[Al Quran ; 6:149]

قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَاءكُمُ الَّذِينَ يَشْهَدُونَ أَنَّ اللّهَ حَرَّمَ هَذَا فَإِن شَهِدُواْ فَلاَ تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاء الَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا وَالَّذِينَ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالآخِرَةِ وَهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ (150)

Say: Bring your witnesses who should testify that Allah has prohibited this. And if they testify, then do not testify with them. And do not follow the desires of those who denied Our signs and those who do not believe in the hereafter while they equate (others) with their Lord.
[Al Quran ; 6:150]

قُلْ تَعَالَوْاْ أَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَلاَّ تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ أَوْلاَدَكُم مِّنْ إمْلاَقٍ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَإِيَّاهُمْ وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَلاَ تَقْتُلُواْ النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللّهُ إِلاَّ بِالْحَقِّ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُمْ بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ (151)

Say: Come, I will recite what your Lord has prohibited to you, that you do not associate with Him anything, and to the parents, kindness, and do not kill your children out of poverty, We will provide for you and for them. And do not come near indecencies, what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill the soul which Allah has prohibited except by right. This is that with which He has enjoined you that you may understand.
[Al Quran ; 6:151]

وَلاَ تَقْرَبُواْ مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلاَّ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَأَوْفُواْ الْكَيْلَ وَالْمِيزَانَ بِالْقِسْطِ لاَ نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلاَّ وُسْعَهَا وَإِذَا قُلْتُمْ فَاعْدِلُواْ وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبَى وَبِعَهْدِ اللّهِ أَوْفُواْ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ (152)

And do not come near the property of the orphan except in a way that is best until he reaches his maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice; We do not charge any soul except its capacity. And when you speak, then be just, even if it concerns a relative. And the covenant of Allah, you should fulfil. This is that with which He has enjoined you that you may remember.
[Al Quran ; 6:152]

وَأَنَّ هَذَا صِرَاطِي مُسْتَقِيمًا فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَلاَ تَتَّبِعُواْ السُّبُلَ فَتَفَرَّقَ بِكُمْ عَن سَبِيلِهِ ذَلِكُمْ وَصَّاكُم بِهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ (153)

And this is My straight path, so follow it, and do not follow (other) ways, for you will separated from His way. This is that with which He has enjoined you that you may fear.
[Al Quran ; 6:153]

ثُمَّ آتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ تَمَامًا عَلَى الَّذِيَ أَحْسَنَ وَتَفْصِيلاً لِّكُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةً لَّعَلَّهُم بِلِقَاء رَبِّهِمْ يُؤْمِنُونَ (154)

Moreover, We gave Musa the book, complete to the one who does good, and an explanation to everything and guidance and mercy, that perhaps in the meeting of their Lord they would believe.
[Al Quran ; 6:154]

وَهَذَا كِتَابٌ أَنزَلْنَاهُ مُبَارَكٌ فَاتَّبِعُوهُ وَاتَّقُواْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ (155)

And this is a book We have sent down, blessed, so follow it and fear that you may receive mercy.
[Al Quran ; 6:155]

أَن تَقُولُواْ إِنَّمَا أُنزِلَ الْكِتَابُ عَلَى طَآئِفَتَيْنِ مِن قَبْلِنَا وَإِن كُنَّا عَن دِرَاسَتِهِمْ لَغَافِلِينَ (156)

Lest you say: The book was only sent down to two parties before us while we were of their study unaware.
[Al Quran ; 6:156]

أَوْ تَقُولُواْ لَوْ أَنَّا أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا الْكِتَابُ لَكُنَّا أَهْدَى مِنْهُمْ فَقَدْ جَاءكُم بَيِّنَةٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَهُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن كَذَّبَ بِآيَاتِ اللّهِ وَصَدَفَ عَنْهَا سَنَجْزِي الَّذِينَ يَصْدِفُونَ عَنْ آيَاتِنَا سُوءَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَصْدِفُونَ (157)

Or lest you say: If the book had been sent down to us, we would have been more guided than them. So there has come to you a proof from your Lord and guidance and mercy. And who is more unjust than one who denies the signs of Allah and turns away from them? We will reward those who turn away from Our signs with the worst of torture because they used to turn away.
[Al Quran ; 6:157]

هَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلاَّ أَن تَأْتِيهُمُ الْمَلآئِكَةُ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ رَبُّكَ أَوْ يَأْتِيَ بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي بَعْضُ آيَاتِ رَبِّكَ لاَ يَنفَعُ نَفْسًا إِيمَانُهَا لَمْ تَكُنْ آمَنَتْ مِن قَبْلُ أَوْ كَسَبَتْ فِي إِيمَانِهَا خَيْرًا قُلِ انتَظِرُواْ إِنَّا مُنتَظِرُونَ (158)

Do they wait for (anything) except that the angels should come to them or your Lord should come or that there come some of the signs of your Lord? The day when some of the signs of your Lord will come, no soul will benefit from its faith if it had not believed before or had earned through its faith some good. Say: Wait, indeed, we are waiting.
[Al Quran ; 6:158]

إِنَّ الَّذِينَ فَرَّقُواْ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُواْ شِيَعًا لَّسْتَ مِنْهُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ إِنَّمَا أَمْرُهُمْ إِلَى اللّهِ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ (159)

Indeed, those who have divided their religion and became sects, you are not from among them in anything. Their affair is only to Allah, and He will inform them of what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 6:159]

مَن جَاء بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا وَمَن جَاء بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَلاَ يُجْزَى إِلاَّ مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لاَ يُظْلَمُونَ (160)

Whoever comes with a good deed, then he will have ten like it, and whoever comes with an evil deed, then he will not be rewarded except with the like thereof; and they will not be dealt with unjustly.

Al Anaam (The Cattle)

Translation

Verses 161-165

قُلْ إِنَّنِي هَدَانِي رَبِّي إِلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ دِينًا قِيَمًا مِّلَّةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ (161)

Say: Indeed, my Lord has guided me to a straight path, the correct religion; the faith of Ibrahim the upright and he was not of the polytheists.
[Al Quran ; 6:161]

قُلْ إِنَّ صَلاَتِي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (162)

Say. Indeed, my prayer and my rites and my life and my death are for Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 6:162]

لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَاْ أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ (163)

No partner to Him; and as such I was commanded and I am the first of the submitters (to Allah).
[Al Quran ; 6:163]

قُلْ أَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْغِي رَبًّا وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَلاَ تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ إِلاَّ عَلَيْهَا وَلاَ تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَى ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ (164)

Say: Is it other than Allah a lord I should desire a lord and He is the Lord of everything? And every soul does not earn except against itself, and no sin bears the burden of another; moreover to your Lord is your return and He will inform you of that in which you used to disagree.
[Al Quran ; 6:164]

وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَكُمْ خَلاَئِفَ الأَرْضِ وَرَفَعَ بَعْضَكُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِّيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ سَرِيعُ الْعِقَابِ وَإِنَّهُ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ (165)

And it is He Who has made you successors of the earth and raised some of you degrees above others, that He might test you by what He has given you. Indeed, your Lord is swift in punishment; and indeed, He is Forgiving, Merciful.
