Translation

Verses 1-20

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

---

الم (1)

Alif Lam Meem.
[Al Quran ; 29:1]

---

أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ (2)

Do the people think that they will be left to say: We have believed; while they will not be tried?
[Al Quran ; 29:2]

---

وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۖ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْكَاذِبِينَ (3)

And We have certainly tried those before them. And Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful and will make evident the liars.
[Al Quran ; 29:3]

أَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ أَنْ يَسْبِقُونَا ۚ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ (4)

Or do those who do evil think that they will overtake Us? Evil is that which they judge.
[Al Quran ; 29:4]

مَنْ كَانَ يَرْجُو لِقَاءَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ لَآتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (5)

Whoever is hoping for the meeting with Allah, then indeed, the term of Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 29:5]

وَمَنْ جَاهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَاهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ (6)

And whoever strives only strives for himself; indeed, Allah is Rich above the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 29:6]

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّئَاتِهِمْ وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَحْسَنَ الَّذِي كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ (7)

And those who have believed and done good deeds, We will surely remit from them their sins, and We will surely reward them for the best of what they used to do.
[Al Quran ; 29:7]

وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا ۖ وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۚ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (8)

And We have enjoined upon the human goodness to his parents. But if they strive to make you associate (others) with Me, about which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you of what you used to do.
[Al Quran ; 29:8]

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَنُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ فِي الصَّالِحِينَ (9)

And those who have believed and done good deeds, We will surely admit them with the pious.
[Al Quran ; 29:9]

---

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ فَإِذَا أُوذِيَ فِي اللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتْنَةَ النَّاسِ كَعَذَابِ اللَّهِ وَلَئِنْ جَاءَ نَصْرٌ مِنْ رَبِّكَ لَيَقُولُنَّ إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَكُمْ ۚ أَوَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِمَا فِي صُدُورِ الْعَالَمِينَ (10)

And of the people are those who say: We have believed in Allah; but when one of them is harmed for (the cause of) Allah, he makes the trial by the people as the torture of Allah. And when help from your Lord comes, they will surely say: Indeed, we were with you. Is not Allah most Knowing of what is in the chests of (all) creatures.
[Al Quran ; 29:10]

وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ (11)

And Allah will surely make evident those who have believed and will surely make evident the hypocrites.
[Al Quran ; 29:11]

---

وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبِعُوا سَبِيلَنَا وَلْنَحْمِلْ خَطَايَاكُمْ وَمَا هُمْ بِحَامِلِينَ مِنْ خَطَايَاهُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ (12)

And those who have disbelieved said to those who have believed: Follow our way and we will carry you sins. And they will not be carrying of their sins anything; indeed, they are liars.
[Al Quran ; 29:12]

وَلَيَحْمِلُنَّ أَثْقَالَهُمْ وَأَثْقَالًا مَعَ أَثْقَالِهِمْ ۖ وَلَيُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَمَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ (13)

And they will surely carry their burdens and (other) burdens along with their burdens. And they will surely be asked on they day of resurrection about what they used to forge.
[Al Quran ; 29:13]

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِ فَلَبِثَ فِيهِمْ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ إِلَّا خَمْسِينَ عَامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطُّوفَانُ وَهُمْ ظَالِمُونَ (14)

And We have certainly sent Nuh to his people, and he remained between them one thousand years minus fifty years, then the flood seized them while they were unjust.
[Al Quran ; 29:14]

فَأَنْجَيْنَاهُ وَأَصْحَابَ السَّفِينَةِ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا آيَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ (15)

And We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made them a sign for the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 29:15]

---

وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقُوهُ ۖ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (16)

And Ibrahim when he said to his people: Worship Allah and fear Him, that is better for you if you should know.
[Al Quran ; 29:16]

إِنَّمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْثَانًا وَتَخْلُقُونَ إِفْكًا ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لَكُمْ رِزْقًا فَابْتَغُوا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ الرِّزْقَ وَاعْبُدُوهُ وَاشْكُرُوا لَهُ ۖ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ (17)

You only worship, other than Allah, idols, and you create falsehood; indeed, those whom you worship other than Allah do not possess for you a provision. So seek from the Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 29:17]

وَإِنْ تُكَذِّبُوا فَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أُمَمٌ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ ۖ وَمَا عَلَى الرَّسُولِ إِلَّا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ (18)

And if you deny, then already nations before you denied. And nothing is upon the messenger except the clear notification (of the message).
[Al Quran ; 29:18]

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَيْفَ يُبْدِئُ اللَّهُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ (19)

Have they not seen how Allah starts the creation then repeats it? Indeed, that is, upon Allah, easy.
[Al Quran ; 29:19]

قُلْ سِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ بَدَأَ الْخَلْقَ ۚ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنْشِئُ النَّشْأَةَ الْآخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (20)

Say: Walk in the land and see how He started the creation. And Allah creates the final creation; indeed, Allah is over everything Capable.

Translation

Verses 1-20

---

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

الم (1)

[Al Quran ; 29:1]

---

أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ (2)

Do the people think that they will be left to say: We have believed; while they will not be tried?

Al-Ankaboot (The Spider)

Translation

Verses 21-40

---

يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُونَ (21)

He castigates whom He wills and grants mercy to whom He wills; and to Him you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 29:21]

وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ (22)

And you will not cause failure in the earth or in the heaven, and you will not have other than Allah any guardian or any helper.
[Al Quran ; 29:22]

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَلِقَائِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ يَئِسُوا مِنْ رَحْمَتِي وَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ (23)

And those who have disbelieved in the signs of Allah and His meeting, it is them who have despaired of My mercy, and it is them for whom there will be a painful torture.
[Al Quran ; 29:23]

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا اقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنْجَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (24)

And the answer of his people was not except that they said: Kill him or burn him. So Allah saved him from the fire; indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.
[Al Quran ; 29:24]

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْثَانًا مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ (25)

And he (Ibrahim) said: You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as affection between you in the life of this world. Then on the day of resurrection some of you will deny others, and some of you will curse others, and your refuge will be the fire, and you will have not any helpers.
[Al Quran ; 29:25]

فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّي مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (26)

And Lut believed in him and said: I will emigrate to my Lord; indeed, He is the Mighty, the Wise.
[Al Quran ; 29:26]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (27)

And We gave him Ishaq and Yaqoub and made in his descendants prophethood and the book. And We gave him his reward in this world; and indeed, in the hereafter, he will be among the pious.
[Al Quran ; 29:27]

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ (28)

And Lut when he said to his people: Indeed, you commit indecency; no one has preceded you in it from the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 29:28]

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ (29)

Indeed, you approach men and hold up the road and commit in your club evil. And the answer of his people was not except that they said: Bring us the torture of Allah, if you should be of the truthful.
[Al Quran ; 29:29]

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِينَ (30)

He (Lut) said: My Lord! Help me over the people who are mischief makers.
[Al Quran ; 29:30]

---

وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا إِنَّا مُهْلِكُو أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ (31)

And when Our messengers came to Ibrahim with the good tidings, they said: Indeed, we are destroying the people of this village; indeed, its people have been unjust.
[Al Quran ; 29:31]

قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًا ۚ قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ (32)

He (Ibrahim) said: Lut is in it. They said: We are more knowing of who is in it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife, she is to be from those who remain behind.
[Al Quran ; 29:32]

وَلَمَّا أَنْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا لُوطًا سِيءَ بِهِمْ وَضَاقَ بِهِمْ ذَرْعًا وَقَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ ۖ إِنَّا مُنَجُّوكَ وَأَهْلَكَ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَكَ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ (33)

And when Our messengers came to Lut, he was distressed by them, and he felt by them discomfort. So they said: Fear not, nor grieve; indeed, we will save you and your family, except your wife, she is to be of those who remain behind.
[Al Quran ; 29:33]

إِنَّا مُنْزِلُونَ عَلَىٰ أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ رِجْزًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْسُقُونَ (34)

Indeed, we will bring down upon the people of this village a plague from the sky because they have been disobedient.
[Al Quran ; 29:34]

وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَا مِنْهَا آيَةً بَيِّنَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (35)

And We have certainly left of it a clear sign for a people who understand.
[Al Quran ; 29:35]

---

وَإِلَىٰ مَدْيَنَ أَخَاهُمْ شُعَيْبًا فَقَالَ يَا قَوْمِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَارْجُوا الْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ (36)

And to Madyan, (We sent) their brother Shauib, and he said: O my people! Worship Allah and seek the last day and do not rebel in the land making mischief.
[Al Quran ; 29:36]

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الرَّجْفَةُ فَأَصْبَحُوا فِي دَارِهِمْ جَاثِمِينَ (37)

And they denied him, so the blast seized them, and they became in their homes corpses.
[Al Quran ; 29:37]

---

وَعَادًا وَثَمُودَ وَقَدْ تَبَيَّنَ لَكُمْ مِنْ مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۖ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَكَانُوا مُسْتَبْصِرِينَ (38)

And Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their (ruined) homes. And the devil decorated for them their deeds, so he hindered them from the way (of Allah), and they used to see.
[Al Quran ; 29:38]

وَقَارُونَ وَفِرْعَوْنَ وَهَامَانَ ۖ وَلَقَدْ جَاءَهُمْ مُوسَىٰ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ فَاسْتَكْبَرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانُوا سَابِقِينَ (39)

And Qarun and Firon and Haman. And Musa had certainly came to them with the evidences, but they were arrogant in the land and were not the first.
[Al Quran ; 29:39]

فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنْبِهِ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَغْرَقْنَا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ (40)

And each We seized for his sin; and of them were those upon whom We sent a storm, and of them were those who were seized by the shriek, and of them were those who were swallowed by the earth, and of them were those whom We drowned. And Allah was not to do them injustice, but they used to do injustice to themselves.

Al-Ankaboot (The Spider)

Translation

Verses 21-40

---

يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُونَ (21)

He castigates whom He wills and grants mercy to whom He wills; and to Him you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 29:21]

---

وَمَا أَنْتُمْ بِمُعْجِزِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ ۖ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ (22)

And you will not cause failure in the earth or in the heaven, and you will not have other than Allah any guardian or any helper.
[Al Quran ; 29:22]

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَلِقَائِهِ أُولَٰئِكَ يَئِسُوا مِنْ رَحْمَتِي وَأُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ (23)

And those who have disbelieved in the signs of Allah and His meeting, it is them who have despaired of My mercy, and it is them for whom there will be a painful torture.
[Al Quran ; 29:23]

فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا اقْتُلُوهُ أَوْ حَرِّقُوهُ فَأَنْجَاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النَّارِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (24)

And the answer of his people was not except that they said: Kill him or burn him. So Allah saved him from the fire; indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.
[Al Quran ; 29:24]

وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْثَانًا مَوَدَّةَ بَيْنِكُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَكْفُرُ بَعْضُكُمْ بِبَعْضٍ وَيَلْعَنُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا وَمَأْوَاكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ (25)

And he (Ibrahim) said: You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as affection between you in the life of this world. Then on the day of resurrection some of you will deny others, and some of you will curse others, and your refuge will be the fire, and you will have not any helpers.
[Al Quran ; 29:25]

فَآمَنَ لَهُ لُوطٌ ۘ وَقَالَ إِنِّي مُهَاجِرٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (26)

And Lut believed in him and said: I will emigrate to my Lord; indeed, He is the Mighty, the Wise.
[Al Quran ; 29:26]

وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ وَآتَيْنَاهُ أَجْرَهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ (27)

And We gave him Ishaq and Yaqoub and made in his descendants prophethood and the book. And We gave him his reward in this world; and indeed, in the hereafter, he will be among the pious.
[Al Quran ; 29:27]

وَلُوطًا إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مَا سَبَقَكُمْ بِهَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ (28)

And Lut when he said to his people: Indeed, you commit indecency; no one has preceded you in it from the worlds.
[Al Quran ; 29:28]

أَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ الرِّجَالَ وَتَقْطَعُونَ السَّبِيلَ وَتَأْتُونَ فِي نَادِيكُمُ الْمُنْكَرَ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ جَوَابَ قَوْمِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ (29)

Indeed, you approach men and hold up the road and commit in your club evil. And the answer of his people was not except that they said: Bring us the torture of Allah, if you should be of the truthful.
[Al Quran ; 29:29]

قَالَ رَبِّ انْصُرْنِي عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِينَ (30)

He (Lut) said: My Lord! Help me over the people who are mischief makers.
[Al Quran ; 29:30]

---

وَلَمَّا جَاءَتْ رُسُلُنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ بِالْبُشْرَىٰ قَالُوا إِنَّا مُهْلِكُو أَهْلِ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهْلَهَا كَانُوا ظَالِمِينَ (31)

And when Our messengers came to Ibrahim with the good tidings, they said: Indeed, we are destroying the people of this village; indeed, its people have been unjust.
[Al Quran ; 29:31]

قَالَ إِنَّ فِيهَا لُوطًا ۚ قَالُوا نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِيهَا ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهْلَهُ إِلَّا امْرَأَتَهُ كَانَتْ مِنَ الْغَابِرِينَ (32)

He (Ibrahim) said: Lut is in it. They said: We are more knowing of who is in it. We will surely save him and his family, except his wife, she is to be from those who remain behind.
[Al Quran ; 29:32]

Translation

Verses 41-60

---

مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ كَمَثَلِ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ اتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا ۖ وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنْكَبُوتِ ۖ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ (41)

The example of those who take other than Allah guardians is like that of the spider which took a home; and indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew.
[Al Quran ; 29:41]

---

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (42)

Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him; and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
[Al Quran ; 29:42]

وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ ۖ وَمَا يَعْقِلُهَا إِلَّا الْعَالِمُونَ (43)

And these examples We strike for the people; but non will understand it except the knowledgeable.
[Al Quran ; 29:43]

خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (44)

Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth; indeed, in that is a sign for the believers.
[Al Quran ; 29:44]

اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ (45)

Recite what has been revealed to you of the book and establish prayer; indeed, prayer prohibits indecency and evil, and the remembrance of Allah is surely greater. And Allah knows what you do.
[Al Quran ; 29:45]

وَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَقُولُوا آمَنَّا بِالَّذِي أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَأُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُنَا وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ (46)

And do not argue with the people of the book except by what is best, except for those who do injustice among them, and say: We have believed in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you. And our God and your God is one; and to Him we are submitters.
[Al Quran ; 29:46]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ ۚ فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۖ وَمِنْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الْكَافِرُونَ (47)

And thus have We sent down to you the book. And those whom We have given the book believe in it. And among these are those who believe in it. And none reject Our signs except the unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 29:47]

وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُو مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ ۖ إِذًا لَارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ (48)

And you did not recite before it of any book, nor did you wrote it with your right hand, for then the falsifiers would have doubted.
[Al Quran ; 29:48]

---

بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ فِي صُدُورِ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الظَّالِمُونَ (49)

Rather, it is clear signs in the chests of those who are given knowledge; and none reject Our signs except the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 29:49]

---

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (50)

And they said: Why are not signs sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: The signs are only with Allah, and I am only an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 29:50]

---

أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (51)

And is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down upon you the book which is recited to them? Indeed, in that is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe.
[Al Quran ; 29:51]

قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيدًا ۖ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ وَكَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ (52)

Say: Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness; He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. And (as for) those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, it is them who will be the losers.
[Al Quran ; 29:52]

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى لَجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (53)

And they ask you to hasten the torture. And if not for an appointed term, the torture would surely come to them. And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive not.
[Al Quran ; 29:53]

يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ (54)

They ask you to hasten the torture. And indeed, hell will be encompassing the unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 29:54]

---

يَوْمَ يَغْشَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (55)

The day the torture will cover them from above them and from beneath their legs; and He will say: Taste what you used to do.
[Al Quran ; 29:55]

---

يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ أَرْضِي وَاسِعَةٌ فَإِيَّايَ فَاعْبُدُونِ (56)

O My servants who have believed! Indeed, My earth is spacious, so it is Me you should worship.
[Al Quran ; 29:56]

---

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ (57)

Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 29:57]

---

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ نِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ (58)

And those who have believed and done good deeds, We will surely assign to them of the garden chambers beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein. Excellent is the reward of the workers.
[Al Quran ; 29:58]

الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ (59)

Those who have been patient and upon their Lord rely.
[Al Quran ; 29:59]

---

وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ لَا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (60)

And how many walking creature that does not carry its provision; Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearer, the Knower.

خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (44)

Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth; indeed, in that is a sign for the believers.
[Al Quran ; 29:44]

اتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَىٰ عَنِ الْفَحْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ أَكْبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَصْنَعُونَ (45)

Recite what has been revealed to you of the book and establish prayer; indeed, prayer prohibits indecency and evil, and the remembrance of Allah is surely greater. And Allah knows what you do.
[Al Quran ; 29:45]

وَلَا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَقُولُوا آمَنَّا بِالَّذِي أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْنَا وَأُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَإِلَٰهُنَا وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ وَاحِدٌ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ (46)

And do not argue with the people of the book except by what is best, except for those who do injustice among them, and say: We have believed in that which has been sent down to us and sent down to you. And our God and your God is one; and to Him we are submitters.
[Al Quran ; 29:46]

وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ ۚ فَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِ ۖ وَمِنْ هَٰؤُلَاءِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِهِ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الْكَافِرُونَ (47)

And thus have We sent down to you the book. And those whom We have given the book believe in it. And among these are those who believe in it. And none reject Our signs except the unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 29:47]

وَمَا كُنْتَ تَتْلُو مِنْ قَبْلِهِ مِنْ كِتَابٍ وَلَا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمِينِكَ ۖ إِذًا لَارْتَابَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ (48)

And you did not recite before it of any book, nor did you wrote it with your right hand, for then the falsifiers would have doubted.
[Al Quran ; 29:48]

بَلْ هُوَ آيَاتٌ بَيِّنَاتٌ فِي صُدُورِ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا الظَّالِمُونَ (49)

Rather, it is clear signs in the chests of those who are given knowledge; and none reject Our signs except the unjust.
[Al Quran ; 29:49]

---

وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتٌ مِنْ رَبِّهِ ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْآيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ (50)

And they said: Why are not signs sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: The signs are only with Allah, and I am only an obvious warner.
[Al Quran ; 29:50]

أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِهِمْ أَنَّا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَرَحْمَةً وَذِكْرَىٰ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ (51)

And is it not sufficient for them that We have sent down upon you the book which is recited to them? Indeed, in that is a mercy and a reminder for a people who believe.
[Al Quran ; 29:51]

قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ شَهِيدًا ۖ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِالْبَاطِلِ وَكَفَرُوا بِاللَّهِ أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ (52)

Say: Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness; He knows what is in the heavens and the earth. And (as for) those who believe in falsehood and disbelieve in Allah, it is them who will be the losers.
[Al Quran ; 29:52]

---

وَيَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ ۚ وَلَوْلَا أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى لَجَاءَهُمُ الْعَذَابُ وَلَيَأْتِيَنَّهُمْ بَغْتَةً وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (53)

And they ask you to hasten the torture. And if not for an appointed term, the torture would surely come to them. And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive not.
[Al Quran ; 29:53]

يَسْتَعْجِلُونَكَ بِالْعَذَابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحِيطَةٌ بِالْكَافِرِينَ (54)

They ask you to hasten the torture. And indeed, hell will be encompassing the unbelievers.
[Al Quran ; 29:54]

---

يَوْمَ يَغْشَاهُمُ الْعَذَابُ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَمِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِهِمْ وَيَقُولُ ذُوقُوا مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (55)

The day the torture will cover them from above them and from beneath their legs; and He will say: Taste what you used to do.
[Al Quran ; 29:55]

يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ أَرْضِي وَاسِعَةٌ فَإِيَّايَ فَاعْبُدُونِ (56)

O My servants who have believed! Indeed, My earth is spacious, so it is Me you should worship.
[Al Quran ; 29:56]

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَائِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ (57)

Every soul will taste death, then to Us you will be returned.
[Al Quran ; 29:57]

---

وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ نِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ (58)

And those who have believed and done good deeds, We will surely assign to them of the garden chambers beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein. Excellent is the reward of the workers.

الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَعَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ (59)

Those who have been patient and upon their Lord rely.
[Al Quran ; 29:59]

---

وَكَأَيِّنْ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ لَا تَحْمِلُ رِزْقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرْزُقُهَا وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (60)

And how many walking creature that does not carry its provision; Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearer, the Knower.

Al-Ankaboot (The Spider)

Translation

Verses 61-69

---

وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ (61)

And if you ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon? They would surely say: Allah. Then how are they deluded?
[Al Quran ; 29:61]

اللَّهُ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَيَقْدِرُ لَهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (62)

Allah extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts (it) for him; indeed, Allah is, of everything, Knowing.
[Al Quran ; 29:62]

وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهَا لَيَقُولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ (63)

And if you ask them: Who sends down, from the sky water, and gives life to the earth thereby after its death, they would surely say: Allah. Say: Praise be to Allah. Rather, most of them do not understand.
[Al Quran ; 29:63]

وَمَا هَٰذِهِ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَهْوٌ وَلَعِبٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ الدَّارَ الْآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الْحَيَوَانُ ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ (64)

And this life of this world is nothing except diversion and play; and indeed, the home of the hereafter is the (eternal) life, if only they knew.
[Al Quran ; 29:64]

فَإِذَا رَكِبُوا فِي الْفُلْكِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ إِذَا هُمْ يُشْرِكُونَ (65)

And when they board the ships, they call upon Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He saves them to the land, at once they associate others (with Him).
[Al Quran ; 29:65]

لِيَكْفُرُوا بِمَا آتَيْنَاهُمْ وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ (66)

So that they disbelieve in that which We have given them, and to enjoy (their lives). And they are going to know.
[Al Quran ; 29:66]

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا جَعَلْنَا حَرَمًا آمِنًا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ النَّاسُ مِنْ حَوْلِهِمْ ۚ أَفَبِالْبَاطِلِ يُؤْمِنُونَ وَبِنِعْمَةِ اللَّهِ يَكْفُرُونَ (67)

Have they not seen that We have made (the house of Allah) a safe sanctuary, and the people are being taken away from around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favour of Allah they disbelieve?
[Al Quran ; 29:67]

---

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءَهُ ۚ أَلَيْسَ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَثْوًى لِلْكَافِرِينَ (68)

And who is more unjust than one who forges against Allah lies or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in hell a residence for the unbelievers?
[Al Quran ; 29:68]

---

وَالَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا فِينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِنِينَ (69)

And those who strive for Us, We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good.
